It was our 20th Anniversary and a between us a unplanned trip..I don't usually plan ahead of time..I'd like the surprise element on a journey...but I did identify Anahim Lake as the place I wanted to stop over on our way to Bella Coola Valley. We were visiting friends in Hagensborg.. who have a great place...which I will review next..... More

This isolated resort is on a beautiful property. Our room was extremely small & the 4 walls of wallpaper shrank it more, but it was comfy. Free Wi-Fi and did work in this remote location. Could have more outside lighting for after dark. Manager was very friendly. Fridge in room & coffee maker. No TV in our room but others... More

Overall a pleasant stay - the resort is older and a bit tired in places, but acceptable if a bit overpriced. Agree with another comment that the breakfasts should be included - and dinner was quite expensive ($140 for two with just one drink each) and the extra charges added up. (no way they should be charging for a paddle... More

Thank you for your review. We're glad you had a pleasant stay at our resort, but would like to respond to some of your comments. We're not sure that offering free airport shuttles, free canoes, free bicycles, and free breakfasts would work well for us unless we radically increased the price of our rooms. We were happy to pick you... More

Our room had a full bathroom (not all do) and was very clean and comfortable. The meals in the dining room were excellent. This is a quiet lodge where relaxing and great sleeping comes naturally! There are some local trails, and, of course, the option to drive to Bella Coola. I'm sure there are also fishing and hunting opportunities -... More

I stayed here for one night as part of an organised tour. My room was one of the riverside log cabins which was simple but comfortable and the wonderful view made up for the absence of en suite facilities. Others in our group had rooms in the main building with bathrooms so I would advise checking carefully before booking to... More

I stayed 2 nights at this resort. The staff could not have been more helpful in helping me with details of my trip including arranging a flight over the Rainbow Mountains and someone guiding me on a hike to the Hunlen Falls. They were friendly, chatting about local life, medical services and the wildlife etc to allow me to learn... More

We arrived at Anahim Lake in the pouring rain and it felt deserted. We were shown the room we had booked, but offered a different one which had a television and a covered balcony. We decided to take it, although it was more expensive, as there was no prospect of going outside and we had quite a time to fill. The meal... More

My husband and I spent 3 days here in early July. We can't say enough about how fantastic our experience was. What the weather lacked (it was alternately sunny, cloudy, rainy, sunny) the staff and resort made up for with superb service. Tim met us on check in and looked after everything even serving at breakfast and dinner - he... More

The resort has some very strong positives including truly excellent food and a great wine list and heart wrenching sunsets. There is also a charming sitting room library. Finally great wifi in a region of no cell service. The out cabins are rustic and wonderfully close to the lake. Beds are a problem. Mine was to hard and I had... More
