Fantastic place. Great host. Comfy bed and wonderful breakfast. Good recommendations for places to eat and drink. Charming environment with some fascinating artwork. Hartington provides a good centre for exploring the peak District

We have stayed at Parson's house for one night and loved every minute. David, the owner, has provided us good suggestions about walks, ideas for the rainy day and equipped us with the walking map to ensure that we will return :). The breakfast was delicious. Thank you for making our stay wonderful experience!

This is an excellent B&B with owners who go above and beyond what is expected - even offering to walk our wet and dirty cycling gear. Breakfast with locally sourced ingredients was so tasty, and rooms were very comfy. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location. Eat at the pub and not the restaurant, much nicer and so close to... More

Spent two nights at this lovely place whilst the plumber was installing our new bathroom. What a lovely experience! A very unusual quirky bed and breakfast. David was a perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. When you go, make sure you have the breakfast trifle.

David's background in interior design is very evident in this wonderfully restored house. It is the most delightful we have ever stayed in. David is a marvelous host with tea and coffee being offered on arrival and at other times. The wake up call and tray of tea brought to the bedroom half an hour before breakfast time was a... More

David the owner, was very welcoming, friendly and was a great host with nothing being too much trouble. He provided us with tea and coffee delivered to the rooms in the morning and provided a late night coffee along with ice for whisky (we had brought this along)! The breakfast was excellent with bacon, sausage, eggs - the full works,... More
