We were skeptical of this hotel as we had read a couple of bad reviews on trip advisor but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are basic but clean and the staff were very nice. The restaurant was excellent and the food and service were some of the best on the Haute Route. The breakfast croissants are worth hiking across...

First things first: if you're not sure whether you should go to Zinal (as opposed to Verbiers, or Zermatt or whatever), don't be. The Val d'Anniviers, while it can be a little sleepy, gives you everything you wanted from Switzerland without the commercialization you'd find in those more well known locations. And if you're into skiing, Zinal has some of...

We stayed here while trekking the Haute Route and found it to be a great place to stay. English-speaking waiter and cold beer sitting on porch waiting for our room. This is an actual hotel (as opposed to hostels and/or pensiones) and very clean and comfortable. There was the typical European light breakfast included in the morning. Ate at hotel...

The rooms are very basic in terms of furnishings and facilities but clean and adequate as a place to rest after a day in the mountains. The selling point of the hotel is the excellent breakfast. Several bread types, pastries, cold cut & cheese selection, yogurts, fruit and cereal. Much better than many Alpine hotels. The dinner the night before...

This hotel seems to be on the verge of closing, with business moving to a hotel up the road. However, service was great, with breakfast even being served one hour early to accommodate our early start. It was also absolutely delicious! The room was clean and a good size. Dinner was served just up the road at the 'new' hotel...

Spent a night here while walking the Haute Route. Excellent friendly welcome, small room with nice view but with a dodgy enough shower cubicle in the room and without the toilet in room as booking had stated there would be. We had walked all day and were really looking forward to our meal that night. The half board meal was...

We are staying here for a couple of nights hoping the weather will clear up to continue hiking the haute route from Chamonix to Zermatt. Very friendly welcome, excellent placement and one of the best breakfasts we've had so far! Our room is basic but exactly what we need, shower takes about 10 mins to run hot, but that could...

We stayed at Hotel Pointe de Zinal during easter. We were very satiesfied with our week. It is just a two star hotel so the rooms are quite simple but the food and wines are ona four star level. The situation is perfect and just a few minutes walk from the cable car. We specially appreciated the biere du maison...

We spent two nights in Zinal waiting out the weather while hiking the Haute Route. We found A la Pointe de Zinal a very comfortable stay. We had an odd room layout (with a very tight bathroom) but it was still comfortable and enough room to spread out and relax! The staff was very friendly (and accommodating of our poor...
