Small and charming, the Atrium Thassos 4 Star Hotel in the village of Potos, Thassos Island, Greece, offers a fresh and contemporary style to authentic Thassos Island living. Located at the southern end of Thassos Island, a short distance from Potos village, Atrium 4 star Hotel is just steps away from the vivid nightlife of the popular seaside resort in Thassos. Starting from the flourished garden that fills one’s eye with color, moving to 44 rooms that are spacious enough to give relaxation its full meaning and ending with our pools , which, as blue as the sea , offer dewiness to all our younger or older guests . Our out front beach and the sea are a Divine gift, generously given to us all, to fill our Greek summer with its salty taste.

The best hotel in Thassos Island so far. The rooms are clean, fully equipped and modern. You can choose to spend your day between the big and clean pool or the great beach in front of the hotel. The food was amazing and the prices is perfect for what you get and even cheaper than other restaurants nearby. The staff working there makes you feeling so comfortable and they always smiling and are ready to help you with everything. Just a perfect place to spend your holidays and totally recommended.

Rate they have does not reflect the level of service. They are much higher. Can't understand who was so angry to give small rate and bad reviews for them. Any problem is solved instantly, personel have smile on their faces all the time, food is various and tasty. Hotel have many sunbeds, beach bar, this a place where u need to be.

We went as a family in June 2024 and stayed for 4 days. It's not a 4 star hotel at all. It's a tiny boutique hotel that is 2 star in the best case. Everything is old and falling apart. The rooms don't even have a kettle, the beach doesn't have any toilets, 1 single pipe of a shower, full of bees. The hotel and the area is full of bees that don't let you eat your food. They were a nightmare and I ended up getting stung at dinner. When I tried to take my lunch to the only dining room of the hotel to get away from the bees the hotel manager tried to KICK US OUT, and said we had to eat outside surrounded by bees and he didn't care about our kids crying and being scared. Ioannes was so rude and absolutely the worst hotel manager in the world. The whole staff is 20+ so the hotel is run by very unexperienced kids. The hotel is not kid friendly. All the baby high-chairs were old, broken and dirt from never being cleaned by staff. Hotel entrance has a ramp that is 80 degrees and it took 2 parents to roll the stroller up and down, very dangerous setup. Not recommended, overpriced and horrible value.

We had booked and confirmed the Atrium Hotel Thassos as from the 12th of September till the 22th being a small and family feeling hotel. The hotel informed us 5 days before arrival that the hotel was closing at the 19th. They would move us as from the 19th to another hotel on Thassos. There was no time to cancel or switch to a hotel our choosing.
The other hotel was much bigger like a factory and located in the middle of nowhere Ilio Mare Hotel. We needed to rent a car to go and look for the more nicer beaches and sites.
A email with our complaint was never answered. The Ilio Mare Hotel tried to do there best but had no other options.
Very bad service !!!

On the outside the hotel looked adequate. Rooms basic but comfortable. Family of 4 in a family suite with 2 small bottles of shampoo wasnt adequate. I had to visit reception every day to beg for extras. Tried calling them from the room but nobody picked up. Apparently the phones haven’t worked for years. The rooms were not cleaned properly. Bath wasn’t useable as it was dirty. Shower head broken and reported twice but no action taken. Beds not adequately cleaned and full of sand so we had to dust them ourselves every night. Tried to speak to manager but they are only at the hotel a couple of hours a day as on outside business most of the day! Breakfast was basic. Promised parking didn’t materialise and we ended up parking on the beach! Hi Aircon worked perfectly thank goodness considering the august heat!

Well, I am not sure I would like to recommend this hotel not because it has any shortcomings, but because if you knew how nice it is, I myself would have problems with my bookings in the future. :) I have been staying at various hotels in Thassos for more than 10 years for my summer holidays and I think I know the island pretty well. This year I tried Atrium with my family. I just returned back home from there and I hurry to enthusiastically spread the news about this marvellous place. Its location is perfect (on a nice beach and close to the charming little villages of Potos and Theologos). It is very clean, rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable, the staff is professional and friendly, the breakfast is generous, the pools, beach bars are cosy and beautiful, beach facilities are well organised and the overall management of this place deserves admiration. I would like to thank them and wish them the success they deserve. (PS: I've booked my next year's stay just before posting this test.)

We spent 2 weeks at the Atrium in August with our 2 children aged 9 and 12. We had a two level family room, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 terraces and a view of the sea. We also had breakfast and dinner included. All at a reasonable price.
We cannot find fault with the hotel. There is a wonderful clean pool area. The beach is just a few metres away with nice sun chairs and umbrellas and free for guests of the hotel. The food in the restaurant is top notch and varied.
There is a lovely taverna for lunch close to the pool bar. The hotel is immaculate and extremely well maintained. The rooms are super clean and most importantly of all - everyone working at the hotel is polite, obliging, helpful and smiling (isn't that what a holiday is about? smiling?). The hotel is in an extremely quiet part of Potos but still only a 5 minute walk from the village.

how long is the walk into town and is it a nice walk ?
Answer from aleksandarb837
Podgorica, Montenegro72 contributions17 helpful votes
It is a short walk (10 minutes maximum), but the "city" is very very small. It is more a little village, than a city. You can go by the beach or by the main road which is not really nice for walking.
