We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and 8 days and EVERY SINGLE DAY the breakfast was the same: eggs, sausages, yogurt & jam, ham and cheese, cucumber, tomatoes and olives, milk, tea and coffee. We were very disappointed about that and from the 3rd day we were already sick of this food. Room was big enough for 3 of us (with a 4yo toddler), 2 comfy beds (one double king size and one single bed); housekeeping cleaned our room and changed the towels twice, but the sheets only once in 7 days. From the very beginning the reception staff announced us that we had to leave the room key every time we left the hotel (I think that this is their way to have control on AC and be sure that you don't let the AC working when you're out). Wi-fi connection is the worst I've ever had. Basically, no wi-fi in the room, only in the lobby. Location is a plus because is close to the beach (max 5 min by walk) BUT it is a church right next to the hotel. We were not disturbed by the bells that ring in the morning. Only in one morning (when they celebrated St. Mary's Day at 15th of August) the bells rang for a long time and I woke up at 7.30 am ... If you're picky, church bells will be a big issue for your sleep. As a conclusion - I don't recommend this hotel and for sure was my first and the last time there.

We always stay here once in Thassos - already 5 times over the years. Every time we come there is an new investment/improovement. Owner does take good care. Yes it is on a busy street - but once you close the door it is nice and sound proof, breakfast is OK, cleaning is OK, they change the sheets and the towels and the price is really good. Do not expect luxury hotel - it is a family run nice hotel price/ratio is very fair here. Central location is perfect for trips around the island, reception staff is kind.

The hotel was ok, frendly staff. Nice room with new furniture. The TV is useless because there are only greek tv channels. The Bathroom is extremly small too small for an adult. The internet was free in the rooms, and it really worked all the time. The air cond. was also free. We didnt stay at the beach near the hotel because it was rocky, so we drove to paradise beach almost every day. So in the future we will choose another place in Thassos because of the beach. Overall it was a good stay, we enjoyed our vacation.

To begin with, this hotel has a very good position, in the center of the town of Potos. The beach is at a 5 min walk, and on the way you can find all kinds of stores with souvenirs, a very good bakery, supermarkets, restaurants etc. The room in which I stayed was a little larger that the other couple that was with us and the view was of the back yard ( not a problem at all because it was quiet. The personnel cleaned the room every single day, the towels were changed on a daily basis and the sheet were changed 4 times on a 8 day holiday. The bathroom was indeed small and the water didn't had pressure but in the end was ok. The lady's from the reception were very kind and helpful with us during the entire holiday. Regarding the AC, we didn't paid anything at check in, it didn't smell bad when we turned it on, etc. Overall, we spent a great time at Hotel Olympion and sincerely I really don't know why others complained about it.

It`s a great hotel. + it is in the middle of the town + the rooms are cleaned every day + near the beach (150 m), restaurants, drugstore, supermarkets, + it`s own parking lot - the wi-fi sometimes is slow -the bathroom it`s a little bit small, especially the cabin bath, when you take a shower everything it`s flooded I recommend this hotel. Although it has 2 stars, you can consider it a 3 star hotel. The best value for money.

We travelled as a couple and stayed for a week at hotel Potos in Olympion. The room was very comfortable and staff was friendly. The hotel has a very good position in the center of Potos town, five minutes from the beach.

Hello, i've stayed at Hotel Olympion, Thassos Island, Potos a few times in the past, and was great. This year, things have changed! I have booked 2 rooms with my credit card, as always, and i've specified that the rooms soulf be one next to eachother. When i arrived here and check in, surprise. They wanted to give me a room at the 1st floor and one at the 3rd floor. We are 2 couples travelling toghether, so this was an inconvenient for us. When i asked why they didn't took notice of my request, and asked to speak with a manager, the manager himself told me: "if you don't like it, you cand go, and we will cancel your reservation!" No kidding, in the first day on my vacantion, just 5 minutes after arrival, you tell me that! Oh, i felt so unwanted here. After severe negociation, and an ultimatum that i will write booking.com about this, the manager, "find" us a room at the same floor. The room was one at the end of the colidor and the other one at the other end...but we accepted like this because he didn't show any sign to resolve this problem. Our room is small, the AC is smelling like dirthy socks and the water pressure is not enought to clear your hair of shampoon. Our friends rooms, is tiny than ours, the frigde is smelling so bad that they keep the drinks outside, and they had a problem with the toilet. And after all of that, even they informed me a few days before arrival that 50 percent of the fee will be blocked on my credit card, when i asked them to take the money, they took another amount (less that should have take). So i was forced to pay the rest in another transaction, with another fee from the bank, when all of this was simple: just take all the fee for booking. Breakfast is very poor. After 5 days, we have the same thing to eat. Ham, boiled eggs, honey, cereals, chees, watermelon, and something like sousage - but taste horible. Well done for the cleaning part. The room is clean, and they change our towels daily! Regards, Andreea

The location is very good - very close to the beach. When you make the check in you'll find out that you'll have to pay 5 Euro extra for remote control from the AC. After that, you'll be asked to leave the key on reception when you leave the room, not to let the AC opened. Arround the hotel it's very big noise up to 1 or 2 in the night, so you'll not rest if you don't close the window/ door to the balcony - to do this I recommend to take the remote for AC, other wise you'll have free sauna in the room. The breakfast it's very boring. The rooms are very small, but clean. Don't eat where the presonel from the hotel recommend you - ask anyone else, but not at reception of this hotel. The WIFI of the hotel work very very slow, like any where on the island.

I have never been in worse hotel. The room was very hot and the staff wanted from us to turn off the air conditioning when we were out. The parking is very far away from the main building. The fridge doesn't work normally and the bathrooms are very small, especially the shower cabin.

I have just returned from Thassos where I spent 6 nights in this hotel. The location is indeed very good which made me give it 3 stars, because it is very close to the center and the beach, but there are some things that force me to NOT recommend this hotel: - We are a family of 3 and booked through an agency a triple room and specifically mentioned that we need an extra bed for our 3 years old child. We paid and got the confirmation that everything is ok. Still, when we got there, the staff told us that there is no extra bed and if we want to get one we need to pay 10 euro more/night which we refused to do before discussing with the agency. The attitude of the manager was extremely rude, he yelled at me "You want a bed, you pay and that's it", without even listening at what I had to say or checking our reservation. It was 10 PM and they refused to call the agency, so everything solved the next day when we called our agent and he solved everything. There was no excuses, no nothing. More than this, at the end the reception staff tried to make us pay 10 euro for the first night we spent before the agency discussed with them! - The soap from the shower was very small and they never changed it during our stay even if it finished after 2 days. - The bathroom is extremely small and the shower has only a curtain so the entire bathroom gets all wet. - The breakfast is extremely cheap and they serve the same foods everyday: omlette, jam, cheese, tomatoes and some ham. There are no fresh juices or coffee, everything is full of preservatives, not a single healthy thing to eat. We had watermelon one day, but not even this was fresh.
