This hotel is definitely the best choice when we talk about Potos and I dare to say that is in five best on whole island (comparing rates). Everything is exactly the same as it describes on hotel web page. Rooms and dining room are same as they are presented on hotel photos which is for me one of the most important things when I need to decide which hotel to choose. Hotel is located in the town center and if you are coming with car there is a free hotel parking located 30 m from hotel otherwise parking would be mission impossible.
The only thing that I didn't like it is poor breakfast. Quality is O.K. but they serve same food every morning and it will definitely start to annoy you after a few days.
This is low budget two star hotel , but definitely deserves more and if i decide to come back again on Thassos I'll choose it again.

Great hotel, right in the center of the village, even if the hotel was located in center of the village there was no noise coming from outside. The room was clean and the bathroom the same. every couple of days we had our room cleaned and the bed sheets were changed once in our week stay

It`s a great hotel.
+ it is in the middle of the town
+ the rooms are cleaned every day
+ near the beach (150 m), restaurants, drugstore, supermarkets,
+ it`s own parking lot

- the wi-fi sometimes is slow
-the bathroom it`s a little bit small, especially the cabin bath, when you take a shower everything it`s flooded

I recommend this hotel. Although it has 2 stars, you can consider it a 3 star hotel.
The best value for money.

Very nice hotel in Potos vilage center, near church. Beach are close, meny cafe, restorants, shops avilable. Nice staff and food, brekfast included. Choose room with windows on yard, it more silent, dont hear sound of street with passing vehicles. Silent place, good for rest. No dislikes, liked everything.

Hello, i've stayed at Hotel Olympion, Thassos Island, Potos a few times in the past, and was great.

This year, things have changed! I have booked 2 rooms with my credit card, as always, and i've specified that the rooms soulf be one next to eachother. When i arrived here and check in, surprise. They wanted to give me a room at the 1st floor and one at the 3rd floor. We are 2 couples travelling toghether, so this was an inconvenient for us. When i asked why they didn't took notice of my request, and asked to speak with a manager, the manager himself told me: "if you don't like it, you cand go, and we will cancel your reservation!"
No kidding, in the first day on my vacantion, just 5 minutes after arrival, you tell me that! Oh, i felt so unwanted here.

After severe negociation, and an ultimatum that i will write booking.com about this, the manager, "find" us a room at the same floor. The room was one at the end of the colidor and the other one at the other end...but we accepted like this because he didn't show any sign to resolve this problem.

Our room is small, the AC is smelling like dirthy socks and the water pressure is not enought to clear your hair of shampoon. Our friends rooms, is tiny than ours, the frigde is smelling so bad that they keep the drinks outside, and they had a problem with the toilet.

And after all of that, even they informed me a few days before arrival that 50 percent of the fee will be blocked on my credit card, when i asked them to take the money, they took another amount (less that should have take). So i was forced to pay the rest in another transaction, with another fee from the bank, when all of this was simple: just take all the fee for booking.

Breakfast is very poor. After 5 days, we have the same thing to eat. Ham, boiled eggs, honey, cereals, chees, watermelon, and something like sousage - but taste horible.

Well done for the cleaning part. The room is clean, and they change our towels daily!

Regards,
Andreea

We have been there in July 2013. Great place for the money. The linens are changed every 2 days, comfortable beds and well equipped rooms. The breakfast was very good, although the same every day. The staff is very helpful and will give you an answer to all your questions - beaches, roads, good restaurants. The only problem is that the hotel is on the main street and it's a little noisy in the night.

The hotel was ok, frendly staff. Nice room with new furniture. The TV is useless because there are only greek tv channels. The Bathroom is extremly small too small for an adult. The internet was free in the rooms, and it really worked all the time. The air cond. was also free. We didnt stay at the beach near the hotel because it was rocky, so we drove to paradise beach almost every day. So in the future we will choose another place in Thassos because of the beach. Overall it was a good stay, we enjoyed our vacation.

The hotel has an excellent location, you are in the very center, close to the beach, although it is crowded, you can find parking, the rooms are okay and the appearance of the hotel is decent, however, the breakfast is a disaster, every morning is the same, you can choose between scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, flakes and cheap salami, absolutely every morning! Leaving the room is no later than 11, with the fact that they have been knocking constantly since half past 11... the rooms are cleaned every day and they knock early in the morning (08:30) even if you put up a "do not disturb" sign.
