I visited this hotel 20 in 1998. Everything is the same, but older 😔. Minus: furniture, services . Plus: cleaning , price, location . The room size is average. I've got a room with a small balcony oriented to main street; it's dirt, with cigarette ends.

Its excellent position makes you forget about communist style furniture, open tap for hot water or waiting for the waiter to order your breakfast. WiFi is really good. Also good restaurants in the vicinity (Crenguta is really good). Does not hurt to rent an apartment if one stays more than 2 nights.

The price is quite high, but let's say it is acceptable because the hotel is right in the very center of the Satu Mare city. The hotel is a former communist one (with everything what this means!), old rooms, but clean, with heating (we were there in October and we needed it). Small double bed. The people from the Reception...

If you just landed in Satu Mare (± 30 RON) from airport and have a business meeting next morning before leaving to your next destination, then Hotel Aurora is what you need. Downtown with a park and several shops and banks around it, a friendly reception staff, old-old furniture and modern TV monitors, a 5 minute wait until you meet...

I stayed at this hotel on 28.01.2013. The price is not worth at all. The rooms smell bad, they put water on the table (that in any other hotel at this price in the world is complimentary t) and then they charge it as minibar (an empty fridge). On top of all in the morning a man was waiting to...

Parking is in front of hotel and we prepaid, The Parking agent (who looked like a heavy out of a B movie) tried to hold us up for 20 lei. After checking with the front desk we could negotiate it down to 6 lei. In the AM, the next parking guy tried to stick us up again, claiming that parking...
