A great choice of beverages are on offer here, and doubly so when they have their beer festivals. The garden and patio area are pleasant and safe, and occasionally there is outdoor entertainment and other events. Regarding food, we have found the meals to be acceptable, but sadly they're somewhat run-of-the-mill in terms of quality and choice. They are not...

First time at The Bacchus ,went with friends for Sunday Carvery. Very busy so ordered starters of Seafood cocktail hoping that the que to the Carvery would die down a little. Not the best starter I've ever eaten, quite tastless.still big queue for main meal so joined the back of it, not a great place to be standing as you...

I was recommended this place to eat by my dad. So when myself and three friends were away for the weekend we popped in, Friday evening at about 17:30. Quite unusual for this sort of large pub that food wasnt served all day, didnt start until 18:30. Drinks were reasonably priced and we ordered some food, early, but being told...

So called sizzler that doesn`t sizzle, bit of bland meat & a mushroom on a hot plate with nothing else, chips luke warm, cost us £22.00 for two, taste 0, presentation 0, waited half an hour for this poor excuse of a sizzler, wont be having another.

Three times we have had a Carvary at the Bacchus, it's not he best we have had but then it's not the worst. Staff are friendly but, they really need to get their act together, we had to ask to have the table cleared, although the waitress had just been to add to the bill. I was waiting to be served...

First visit to this hotel, nice dinning room & table settings, but disappointing food, tough meat, tasteless stuffing, & why oh why would you want sweet corn with your Sunday Roast? rest of veg poor. Gravy was nice!. & very expensive. Won't be going again. I have no idea what the Bacchus is like as a hotel...only had carvery.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in Mid-September. Although our room was at the back of the Hotel and looked over the roof tops to the rooms opposite, it was a pleasant, quiet room with a large bathroom. The full English breakfast was excellent and very filling. The evening bar menu also offered a good variety of...

Stayed overnight whilst travelling. Standard family type hotel in a good position, good value for money, nice comfy beds and a nice breakfast included. Car park available. Check in straight forward. Room was clean & comfortable. Stayed in a double room, that also had a single bed as well as the double, at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately the...

A hotel in the middle of Sutton on Sea, Close to all amenities, Great Beer Festival and great prices in bar & Restaurant. The restaurant had choice of bar meals or Garden Restaurant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, staff were always attentive to your needs.

Stayed in the area in our tourer and used the Bacchus for drinks a few times and food once. They seem to keep a good pint and charge fair prices. The food was very nice and well priced. I had lasagne my wife had pie and the kids had roasts - we all had desserts too. Was very happy indeed...
