We had a wonderful time at Copa Marina. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and had all the necessary amenities. The grounds are well kept and service was very friendly. Breakfasts (not included in my package) was good and reasonably priced. Lunch was a missed opportunity. Order came incorrect and replacements took a very long time. The view of the beach in beautiful, but people should know this is not a beach you bathe in. You need to get out of the resort to get to a nice beach.
We just concluded our wonderful vacation at COPAMARINA Beach Resort. Our first time but definitely not our last. The resorts website does a phenomenal job of laying out the relaxing, chill vibe of its remote location. Then, there is the staff, all of whom work tirelessly to make our stay the most it can be. I would like to thank Luis Tortilla for making our morning breakfast ritual a joyful start for the day. Also, Sr. Michael Cabrera, Sra. Carol, Sr. Nelson, Sra. Kamil , Sr. Carlos, Sr. Julio at restaurante Las Palmas. The food is excellent. NOTE: I have dietary restrictions ie I’m allergic to Dairy and prefer to eat vegetarian. The staff is well versed on multiple options for vegans/vegetarians that are not listed on the menu which are delicious. I would also like to thank Keslie and Tatiana at the front desk and Luis, bellboy, who helped us to our room upon arrival. We participated in a group sunset cruise conveniently offered at the resort. Captain Alexis and his mate Billy shared with us fun facts of that area of the island, the unique offerings of Bahia Guanica, and stories about the beautiful homes perched seaside. I would also like to thank the staff who tended to our room. They did their job while we were enjoying the resort and thus I have no direct individual to thank. I appreciate the daily attention our room received throughout our stay. We experienced consistent excellence in service and a chill relaxation vibe that delivered a vacation to remember.…
Worst nightmare of my life. First the lady that checks you in has a very bad attitude and is very rude, Terrible customer service, experience ever. We left as early as possible because we just wanted to get out of there because we couldn’t cancel unfortunately. I’m surprised they even have a business. DO NOT EVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.
The place is great for relaxation time. We’ll kept grounds, rooms somewhat old, and not modern. TV cable very limited. Disappointed with check out. We had to check out a day early, cannot check out early, they will charge the full reservation time. Food was regular, nothing out of the ordinary, very pricey. The main restaurant never opened, had to eat at palmas(Pool bar), disappointed again. Had breakfast Buffet every morning at Palmas. Was very good. Special mention to LUIS “tortilla”! The most attentive and jovial, serviceable person in hotel. He had joy and pleasure to serve everyone’s need. Enrique Rivera
I had very high hopes for this "Resort and Spa". I can tell you if you have ever been to resorts in Mexico or Dominican Republic, you are going to be shocked as to what passes for a "Resort" in PR. The rooms are dated, dingy, and small. It really seems like an old Motel 6 was given and new name and called a resort. Basically this is lipstick on a pig. The beach chairs were mostly broken. The customer service was terrible. They had fire pits on the premises for the night, but both times we tried to hang out and enjoy the evening we were rudely chased off by security staff who changed the "closing time" to whenever they felt like leaving. The restaurant was ok, as in ok. Usually it took a very long time to get drinks. We went to breakfast on the first morning and there were birds sitting IN the food trays - yes, actually walking around in the trays. I get that at an outside restaurant you have to deal with wildlife, but in the food? We also paid for the supposedly special dining experience of a "chef curated menu with sommelier paired wines". We were put in the wine cellar to eat - which was the actual working wine cellar for the restaurant so all of the wait staff was in and out throughout our meal getting wine for the other guests. The "chef curated menu" was actually a sampling of an app, a salad, a main entree and a dessert which were on the regular restaurant menu. The "paired wines" were actually all of the wines they served by the glass. This was our anniversary dinner. If you really want a true resort, stick with Playa Del Carmen resorts. This was an expensive lesson learned.…
We stayed at this resort 20 years ago when we lived in Puerto Rico and decided to return to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was as beautiful as I remembered, quiet, clean and peaceful. I noticed a lot of families just enjoying themselves, couples like us and everyone seemed to just be there to relax and have fun. The grounds are super clean and well maintained as well. The beach is small but we rented a cabana for the day and really enjoyed that. We ate at the restaurant, ordered drinks from the pool bar and restaurant bar and recieved excellent, friendly service. We also went to Gilligan's Island for an hour to snorkel. I can't complain about one single part of our stay!
The place is amazing. The beach is always calm with no waves because a far sandbar stops all those crazy waves. The outside restaurant is lovely and the staff is very friendly and wants to go the extra mile by always making sure you have anything you need. Luis was awesome every day during breakfast.
My wife and I stayed here for 6 days of our 9 day trip to Puerto Rico. All we can say is good things about it. The views were amazing the facilities were immaculate and the service was top notch. Nathaniel, Megan, and Julio were probably the best bartenders we have ever had on a vacation. Their suggestions for music (Nathaniel is a musician) local to the island helped us in our daily outings. Suggestions on where to go and history of industry (Julio worked for Bristol) in Puerto Rico were informative and helped steer our trip into an amazing experience. Megan hooked it up with some local beach spots and on top of all this, all three of them crushed the service. There was also a maintenance worker, we did not get his name, that helped fix my wife's rollerblades by providing us with a set of Allen wrenches. All in all it was a 5 star experience.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Copamarina. It is a secluded and gorgeous property making for a very peaceful start to our trip. We ate dinners and breakfasts at the restaurant since the resort is on is own and enjoyed the food as well as rum with different fruit juices (lime rum with cranberry juice was my favorite). The wait staff was great (with many suggestions) and we enjoyed getting to know them during our visit. The property itself is very beautiful..loved all the plantings and the patio with our room. Very relaxing, beautiful and great value.
I'm still trying to figure out why people rave about this place; their lack of customer service overshadows any poolside views or palm trees. They will nickel and dime you to death. When you have bad service (and you will) they will blame it on something you must have done and will never take accountability for their lack of hospitality and service. We spend most of our days working and handling the chores of daily life so when you plan a vacation, you expect it to be a relaxing one with great service. Don't waste your hard earned money on this place, don't let the pictures fool you, it's not worth it.
