Pluses: The hotel looks outside so nice, nice entrance hall, helpful and kind reception, rooms ok, cleaners so kind, everything clear, they regularly change towels, pool is perfect and they take care of the pool cleaning Minuses: We are very disappointed about food. The hotel having a 5 stars... The food is absolutely not up to standards. Potatoes are always sour, mashed potatoes are dehydrated product, soups are too dehydrated products, rice was really disgusting (it doesn´t taste like rice!!, I cannot believe, how you can wrongly cook rice), sometimes meat are ok but it was like a lottery, fruit was fresh. Hotel canteen says that they are flexible about intoleration or food allergies. I´m allergic to gluten and we were spend here for 4 days. Three lunches I had only gluten free bread with broccoli and greek cheese. Woman in the kitchen apologized me three times, that they weren´t prepared any food gluten free. I think that is is so unprofessional in 5 stars hotel... This is not the hotel fault, but Katelios beaches are not good and not nice...

Hotel, small, perfect for sweet doing nothing. Clean, service very nice and helpful in every way. Food, however, poor, no spices, monotonous. Some things are fast food, mega sweet drinks, alcohol in the all inclusive option calculated 1 drink at a time. Such hotel regulations. In the evenings absolutely nothing happens, no animation, no music in the evening at the bar, because it bothers people living close. The area is quiet and peaceful, a small village a few pubs. The beach was just any, full of dry "grass", a little garbage was also lying there.

Nightmare vacation! Room dirty, moldy, with bugs and uninhabitable! Standard very far from 4 stars. Rude service, no help from them. We were ridiculed and humiliated by the manager of the hotel because of our remarks. After asking for a change of room every day with zero effect we rented an apartment in the town at our own expense. Food was very low quality, tasteless, cold. The whole hotel is old, dirty and neglected. Before you go to this hotel - know that if something goes wrong - you will stay with it alone. A lot of stress and terrible time - never again!

The worst experience I have ever had. The food is horrible , tasteless, no choice at all. All inclusive? Forget about it ! It’s only on the webside. On the arrival evening we were treated with lunch box included 1 slice of orange, apple and 2 toasts with cheese. No entertainment at all. Tour operator from Grecos said it’s not her problem the standart of the hotel. Absolutely terrible don’t go here!

26.09.22 on arriving at our hotel approximately 10.30 on Monday evening we were shown to 105. This room was filthy, shower head was full of scale as was the shower doors, which were also broken. In the shower tray and on the floor was debris. Door to the room was layered with dust so much so you could write your name in it. After discussing at length with reception staff we were given a much better room. Breakfast for the 5 days we were there was exactly the same each day, so much so the food looked recycled the jams and honey were brought out in the same dish with dried jam around the edges, the dishes were covered in wasps. The staff at the hotel could learn so much from the waiters and waitresses on the beach front, they were professional and hospitable unlike the staff at Utopia. A very disappointing stay. Would definitely go back to the island, but would most definitely not go back to this hotel.

This is the third time that my friends and I have stayed at Utopia during the last eight years, a major reason for choosing it being the excellent location. It has the potential to be excellent but, in common with other reviews, all of us agreed that the beds are most uncomfortable. In fairness, we were already aware of this from our last stay and were supplied on request with mattress toppers which eased the discomfort to an acceptable degree. The rooms are clean but the shower head in our room was broken and the shower cubicle itself could do with replacing. Breakfast choice was good but laid out in a completely disjointed way eg bread nowhere near the toaster, bowls nowhere near the fruit etc and the coffee was not very pleasant. In addition, whilst the reception, pool bar and housekeeping staff were very pleasant, the waiters at breakfast were rather lethargic and robotic………..and as for the barman in the lounge - we spent the whole week wondering if he was actually alive or a cardboard cutout holding a mobile phone. Overall, and despite my comments above, we enjoyed our stay and do not rule out returning in the future. In the meantime -please please please - will the management do something about the beds?

We stayed 7 nights B&B (19th -25th Sept). The positives: The hotel itself was very nice, plenty of open spaces and very clean. It is in a great location, 6/7 minute walk to the beach/restaurants. We had a brill room, a large room with plenty of storage space, two single beds pushed together with mattress toppers already on, bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower over - hot water and good pressure, air-con good with no charge, safe 3 euros per day, balcony with nice furniture. (I emailed the hotel to request a room with a view of the mountains on the upper floor, had a reply saying that they allocate rooms on arrival - on arrival we did get a room on the 3rd floor with a view of the mountains, room 307. Room was very clean, the cleaners came in every day and changed the sheets and towels 3 times. The pool was superb, 3 separate pools. One large pool, one children’s pool and one jacuzzi pool. Plenty of sun beds with sun shades (sun bed cushions were very thin so we used a couple of cushions which made the sun beds a little comfier). We did not see the pool or pool area being cleaned but it was immaculate each day. The negatives: Breakfast was very poor. Cheap, tasteless, watered down ingredients. The fruit was always brown, the bacon was not bacon and the sausage was swimming in grease. The fried eggs were also greasy but edible. The milk was not kept cold, it was in plastic jugs. The coffee machine was ok but that kept running out of milk which the waiters wouldn’t replace. I could go on and on, very repetitive too. The waiters were miserable, we never so one of them smile in the week we were there! Because the breakfast was poor we did not bother trying the food at the bar area. We did not bother with the bar in the evenings either as it seemed pretty boring when passing. We did ask for a cocktail the first day but they only did three kinds and they weren’t the ones we wanted. No ice creams to buy either. We did have a great stay as our room and the pool made up for the poor breakfast and boring bar. For us, a few changes in these areas would make this a super hotel. We have rated “very good” as it was better than “average”, but for us probaby “good” would be a more accurate rating.

From the time we arrived till the time we left the experience was amazing. This hotel is by far the best we’ve stayed in Katelios. Rooms were amazing, even a jacuzzis in the bathroom. Showers were powerful. Lots of storage space throughout the room. We were in room 205 facing the mountain. Everywhere was very clean the pool area was amazing. Pool bar prices were comparable with other bars in Katelios. All the staff were amazing and the girls on reception out of this world. Their customer service is outstanding. We had a mattress topper on the bed but I found them to be a little hard. I mentioned it to the girl in reception and another one was delivered within an hour to the room. Food was lovely some people complained about the ‘hot breakfast’ being luke warm but sure if they’d asked the staff they would have put through microwave. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Plenty of choice at breakfast the continental selection was amazing. Coffee also great out of the machine. No need to pay extra for your room on last day. We had a late flight so stayed on the beach all day. The girl on reception opened the spa for us so we could have a hot shower before leaving. Don’t be put off by the sign on the spa door being closed every Wednesday. We flew back Wednesday evening.Even gave us fresh towels to use. A hairdryer was offered if we needed it. 5 minute walk to the village. We have booked to go back next September and can’t wait.

Perfect location for bars and restaurants, hotel clean and pool choice was varied. Spa was never used very expensive. Rooms good standard for Greece. Food at breakfast far exceeded our expectations of a light continental which is usually offered in Greece. Hotel itself was lovely nothing bad to say about environment at all. Rooms were good with plentiful facilities including air con. Snack bar was good for lunchtime snack. Only complaint and its not a biggie - the beds both room and poolside were like rocks, very uncomfortable. Would We return, YES WE WOULD !!
