Upon our arrival at this very out of the way hotel, we found the lady at the front desk to be very unfriendly. It was as if we were a huge inconvenience to her. She thought she would take our passports and return them later in the day. When we said we wouldn't leave them, we would wait until she...

We are really sorry that we haven't been able to offer you a pleasant stay. We are not happy at all, indeed. I am the woman that welcomed you at your arrival. And I was indeed upset, because you arrived some 4 hours before the check in time and the room wasn't ready. I was really suprised you didn't let...

This was an interesting property. The lobby and hallways are almost like old-school glam - like you could just about picture the Kennedy's or Marilyn Monroe walking in front of out. I wouldn't call it luxury by today's standards, but this is a nice place. Our room was average, but when you opened the GIANT glass door leading out to...

We enjoyed the hotel, its pool, and restaurant greatly. The staff is friendly. Main attraction for the whole family was the large salt water pool! Also, the beach was fun, and a short walk up the beach there are some playgrounds and a beach bar where we bought ice cream and coffee. The only setback was the spotty wifi reception,...

Just back from a trip to Italy and stayed in Hotel Maga Circe, it made my holiday. The hotel is family run, and it shows, the staff were friendly, helpful and always pleasant. My room was perfect, I fell asleep to the sound of the sea and woke to the same sound every morning. The hotel itself is of an...

We stayed at this hotel after finding it on Hotels.com. The hotel location cannot be beaten - it is on the seafront, and the huge outdoor sea water pool is amazing. Our room, 130, had an uninterrupted view of the ocean. (It would be unwise to have a non sea facing room at this hotel). The staff were polite. The...

This hotel is definitely worth staying in for the stunning views, the magnificent salt water pool and the delightful mix of Italian styles around the hotel from the 50s to the 80s. The hotel surrounds and rooms are kept clean to a high standard by the very cheerful cleaning team. Breakfast is standard continental, so if you want something hot,...

We are a family of 5 (8,6 & 1) and can speak Italian. Hotel Maga Circe is a grand looking hotel that doesn't quite take advantage of its possibilities. As many other reviewers have written, the hotel is starting to show its age internally and still has the feel of a hotel from a bygone era. This is a shame...

The Maga Circe Hotel relies more on its Charm and Location and Fine Dining more than anything else. We arrived for the first week of June, probably just before the season takes off, so it was a little quiet. All the staff are extremely welcoming especially since we hardly spoke a word of Italian much to our embarrassment. Great pool...

Thank you for your appreciation of our hotel and services, we are glad that you enjoyed your staying with us. San Felice Circeo is located 90km south of Rome and 120 north of Naples, so it's the perfect base for an escorted tour that includes both cities and their surrounding. I personally would like that Tour operators includes in these...

We had reservations for 3 days in Anzio but, we were disappointed so we checked out after one day and found this place on online. It is a gem! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Maga Circe is a traditional 4 star family run hotel in Lazio, set in the beautiful Tyrrhenian coast, a hundred kilometers south of Rome, in the splendid Circeo National Park. Our hotel lies in a quiet, residential area, at the foot of the Circeo promontory and not far from the famous sandy beach of San Felice. The area is so beautiful that, according to the tradition, in Thirties it was chosen to build a large villa by one of Benito Mussolini's son, Bruno. The rooms of our hotel offer a breathtaking view: they are all overlooking the promontory or the sea. Well furnished and comfortable, they are equipped with TV, mini-bar and air conditioning; many rooms even have a panoramic balcony. You can also enjoy our large swimming pool with sea water and our little private sandy access to the sea shore. And besides all this, our hotel offers a large terrace, a beautiful veranda for your business meetings, a large hall for your receptions and events, a nice room with a cozy fireplace to warm your winter evenings... The Hotel Maga Circe in San Felice Circeo has everything you may need. ... more   less
