This is an elegant family run hotel in a nice quiet town with beautiful scenery. Rooms are nice and basic, free wifi, each room had a balcony so in summer you can leave it open and let the cool mountain air in while you sleep soundly. The restaurant is great, local specialties including hearty alpine fare, I had some of... More

This was a stopover for us for one night on the way back from Sicily to the UK selected on the basis of previous reviews here. It did not disappoint. A friendly welcome and the invitation to park our heavily laden car in the garage under the hotel was followed by the first glimpse of the view from our room:... More

Oh, the most divine food lovingly prepared by Giovanni. We watched him on Sunday morning picking raspberries from his garden - they were yummy. This is a family run business, and, it is run with love. Nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is delightful. Our room was wonderful, overlooking the old fortress, stunningly lit at night. The only... More

A delightful family run hotel which is comfortable, modern but full of character which epitomises the local area; delightful attention to detail with friendly, attentive service. The food is stunningly good - freshly prepared by an excellent chef, lovingly produced & eaten by us with relish!! This is the perfect location to stop at, en route from France or from... More

While following a "Back Roads of Italy" route, we literally "stumbled" upon this hotel. Free parking, and our room included a balcony with a view of the castle. It was hot in July, but our room air conditioning cooled us well after it was turned on about 1530 immediately following our arrival. The hotel turns the air conditioning off about... More

We have stayed at the HCDC for a couple of nights on two occasions in the past two years. It's an excellent location and is only a minute or so from the Autostrada, although you cannot hear any traffic noise from the hotel. Rooms are spotless and the food selection and presentation is very good indeed. Free, secure underground parking... More

We picked this hotel for an over night stop on the way to Lake Garda by Motorbike. This is a great hotel in a nice location, and when we were there in early sept it was nice and quiet. The restaurant food was excellent as were all the staff. The bedroom was excellent, clean and the bed very comfy. We... More

Stayed for three nights in early July 2013 on a half board basis. Excellent location facing Fenis Castle. Ideal for those with own transport, bang in the middle of the Aosta valley - after dinner we used to drive to Aosta for an evening stroll since there is nothing as such in Fenis, apart from the castle. Dinner was sublime... More

We found this hotel in the Logis guide when driving up from Nice on the Côte d'Azur via Italy. It was a great find, the location is beautiful, the price was right, the rooms very well fitted out and within walking distance of the Castle. Regretfully we could only spend one night. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent

Everything was fine! The hotel is beautiful and the stuff is friendly and helpful. Location and views are great. The hotel is included in Michelin hotel guide. Maybe the interior of the room is getting a little outdated year by year, but it still have some charm and some alpine authenticity. We stayed in August, so can't say anything about... More
