Stayed here with friends for New Year. Very nicely modernized house upgraded to a very high standard keeping with tradition. We found the place warm and comfortable with helpful welcoming staff. The rooms were nicely appointed and the breakfast spread provided every morning was diverse and tasty.

La Maison des Vignerons is a lovely rustic B&B in a fantastic setting of a small village at the foothills of the Alps. The village has numerous stone buildings, many centuries old with some dating from Roman times. La Maison des Vignerons is in a restored stone house and has all the conveniences of modernity while keeping the charm of history. Lea, the proprietress of the B&B, oversaw the restoration and her careful and tasteful hand can be seen everywhere. The place is immaculate and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and quiet with en suite bathroom. The breakfast room is welcoming and Lea presents a delicious and generous breakfast including her homemade cakes and yogurt and a selection of local meats. You can sit and rest and view the fantastic scenery; you can hike the local trails; or you can easily drive or take the bus into Aosta and enjoy this Italian Alpine town. Lea is very knowledgeable about the local area, its history and how to enjoy the contemporary offerings. She is a gracious hostess and one is reluctant to leave the peace offered by the village and Valle d’Aosta.

Lea, the owner / hostess opens up her home with hospitality and great fresh baked breakfasts. Our room was nicely done, very clean and quiet. It is tucked away in a tiny village, you get neighbors that go with it but was not a problem at all. The small town of Donnas is easily walkable, we had a flashlight for the walk back at night, just in case it was needed. A great family pizza place in town tat also served and amazing steak. For the price, was the best deal of our trip.

This was a very hard place to find after a long day (probably being tired and having problems with the satnav). And the B&B itself is very deceptive, it was absolutely beautiful inside, the walls wee about a foot thick. Our room was beautifully decorated with a 4 poster bed, and it was lovely and clean. It also had a great shower. The breakfast - bread and cake, and chocolate - who could ask for more.

I can recommend this place to all my friends- the manager is totally charming like her homelike rooms- she gives tipps for sightseeing and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing, too: homemade bread, cake, jam, juice -several sorts of delicious tea-wonderful!!! unfortunatley it was raining all day, but we will definitley come back again in this wonderful B&B
