Nice hotel outside Edinburgh. Was here with CIE tours. Comfy beds and excellent breakfast. They had salmon and tomato egg white omelets - the best ever! I only wish we had free in room wifi (it is free in public areas), but everything else made up for it!

The Dalmahoy is quite a way out from Edinburgh (a £20 taxi ride away) but it more than makes up for this in the friendliness of the staff, the spacious rooms, the quality of the food in the Pentland Restaurant (both for breakfast and Dinner) and the tranquil setting overlooking the golf course. We ate in the Pentland restaurant our...

My family and I go to this hotel all the time. It is honestly one of the nicest hotels I have ever been in. The family rooms have two double beds. The grounds are gorgeous and the food is even better. It is fairly near to the centre of Edinburgh so is easy to do things. Very good

This is a very friendly Marriott Country house hotel. We were staying on our Marriott points and were upgraded to a two bedroom suite with lovely views ( thank you Marriott). All the staff were helpful and friendly, the food was good in the Pentland restaurant and extensive choice of Whiskey including free tasting in the bar ( unfortunately neither...

Just returned from a 3nt stay at this hotel. This was our 5th visit and unfortunately I don't anticipate there will be a 6th. We encountered a number of issues from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I was assured on check-out that I would be contacted by email by the manager to follow up on these...

I stayed here on two consecutive occasions through business. As a crew member for a large UK airline l am fully clear of the transparency levels for customer service in the boyant hospitality lndustry. The service in reception was excellent (perfect first lmpression). During the evening the service in the cocktail bar and ZEST restaurant was really good. Without a...

We were going to book this hotel but noticed they charge £15 (YES £15) a day to use wireless internet in our room. How can any hotel justify charging for the internet these days – let alone that outrageous sum for something that costs them practically nothing and is available free in most coffee shops. Due to their mean-spirited approach...

I had a one night stay when visiting Edinburgh. Tough to rate completely but seemed a very nice place. Just couple of points: No filled mini bar so it would be nice to be offered water even if it was charged for. Room 78 was little noisy in the morning as cleaning staff start from here. Staff very friendly and...
