The lodge is located in the centre of Arvidsjaur on a quiet side street opposite a park. The receptionist and kitchen staff are friendly and helpful, the room spacious, quiet, modern and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate. On the main street just around the corner there is a fine Greek restaurant for a good evening meal. There's also a handy petrol station close by on the main street for filling up before driving on.
The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's disappointing that the hotel isn't as great as the location. Check in was easy but the room I was allocated was below the standard I was expecting. Located directly behind the bar/breakfast area it was very noisy. I was informed by the hotel receptionist I was in an "old room that hasn't been refurbished" which wasn't ideal. The WIFI connection is non existent. No restaurant on site, however they offer a defrosted pizza, which I politely declined. Overall a disappointing stay.
This place comes warmly recommended. We stayed for two nights in this warm and welcoming place. Relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. The interior has well thought through with attention to detail. We run into some transportation issues for our trip back home and as we mentioned this to the staff a solution was quickly presented. They really go over the top to make their guests feel welcomed.
The basic room was clean and nice but the shower unavoidably completely flooded the bath and the sink was permanently closed so it was difficult even to wash you teeth.. The hotel however is nice and the girl at the reception was very kind.
Loved it. Shower was warm, room was clean and beautiful and sheets were cozy. Stuff was really friendly and helpful. Little minus though: the beakfast were a little disappointment for a vegan. Every hotel should have at least some plantbased milk for a coffee. But it is okay couse I didn't ask for vegan food so they didn't know. My bad actually :-D
