Detailed Reviews
Since a year I have a fixed camper on site and must say that Camping Lugano lake is beautifully located, always friendly staff, clean facilities, great gardening and always a superb time.
You can easily travel to all Ticino destinations on the public transport ticket which you can get at the counter for a few Franks.
Also, it only takes you 15min per train to the border city Ponte Tresa, with its beautiful Saturday Market with fresh Italian produce.
All in all, this place is paradise

We stayed there for four nights with our tent and had a very good experience with the staff and overall the camping site. They have everything you need on site (lavatories, washing, adapter cable, ...) and everything was in great shape.

Stayed there with the family in a campervan. The campsite is directly in front of the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The plentiful sanitary facilities were absolutely spotless because they were cleaned the whole day and not only twice a day. Nice atmosphere and three different food shops nearby. Will stay there again.

I can highly recommend this camping. Staff was very friendly, location next to the lake is great. The free Ticino card gives you public transport access to Lugano. The restaurant operates as a separate business, on the camping. As a result, the camping staff is focused on the camping, the restaurant staff is focused on the food, which leads to great satisfaction in both areas. I don't see this at a lot of campings, where either the restaurant is lower prio than the camping operations or vice versa.

Directly situated at the Lake of Lugano, the stuff at the reception and in the restaurant is very nice, the camping is very well organized and clean! Just wonderful here. Dogs are allowed and they can also take a bath into the lake without any problems. Nice area for activities.

A beautiful camping location with lakeside spots and easy access to the local town and broader Lugano region. Friendly staff and the shop/bar had good food and drink options.
However, the practical side of the campsite was a letdown. We had a premium spot, and when we arrived, there was rubbish on the pitch, and the ground was so hard it bent pegs. Two out of the three nights we were there were disturbed by late-night noise, and camp management did not seem to intervene. Showers were ok but had better quality from campsites in Switzerland. I would be inclined to try another campsite nearby rather than return.

What they don’t tell you, it’s on a flight path for small aircraft and helicopters, from early to late, you could almost reach out and grab one they are so close.
Wi-Fi only work near the reception and cafe, any further, good luck.
Outside toilets they lock, on a full park week, there is a queue for toilets in the morning. 6 second shower button press, not ideal. Cafe is expensive and not worth it. Go to Aldi a few steps away, remember closed on Sundays.
All in all, noisy, smelly and no Wi-Fi and people will remove your electricity when they feel like it. Reception staff are lovely, the only plus

Maybe the most beautiful and relaxing camping around the lake of lugano. Very nice people running the place and the bar restaurant, all is well organized. Infrastructure is up to date, very large parcels near the lake, shopping possibilities and restaurants are close by. It‘s definitely a place to stay longer.

Beautiful camping place right on the lake. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful vacation. They even offer yoga lessons! I particularly loved the "apero time", always accompanied by a variety of small delicious snacks. Also, the place is cleaned and all freshly renovated. The camping was very easy to find and is close to the main city Lugano as well as the Italian border.
