Lunch was a ridiculous fiasco. We were kept waiting for one hour and ten minutes. Two goats cheese tarts turned into two goats cheese salads through some "miscommunication" and eventually we were asked if we would like the salads at a reduced price. When two goats cheese tarts turned up they were lukewarm and not properly heated through. The manager... More

Booked this last minute on our way to Cornwall for a few days. Great village pub with bucket loads of character! Room was small but stylishly appointed and extremely clean with a very comfortable bed. Loads of off-street parking and a gorgeous beer-garden to enjoy the sun. Pub and food (dinner and breakfast) was great and I thought that their... More

Two of us ate here on Friday. The pub is beautiful, the seats were comfortable, the food was lovely, the service was great - very friendly staff. The only reason I gave a 4 rather than a 5 rating was the confusion over whether some of the menu items were gluten free and dairy free. Although the menu was marked... More

The Cott Inn is in a delightful old building, low level and strung out, just one room deep. The ceilings are low, the floors are wonky and rooms are decorated in a light fresh style. The Inn is wrapped around a landscaped carpark with lots of flowers and steps up to a nice terrace and summer kitchen. We had an... More

We visited with friends who live near Totnes who have been here several times before. We booked a table inside to ensure that we could get food as at busy times they don't serve food to people who are sitting outside, however as it was boiling inside we asked if it was OK to sit outside, this was agreed. However... More

I have stayed in many pubs and even worked in one but the Cott Inn is by far the best what I've ever seen. The rooms are small but very tidy and cutely decorated. The service is attentively filling up tea bags, coffee and biscuits every day. The breakfast is phenomenal, the food in general is extremely tasty. The pub... More

can't recommend this place enough. first time visiting on holiday in the area. great food great location staff lovely. only recommendation would be to have a kids menu in the garden bar. Service was lovely and I get the feeling it's always like this. blueberry cider is a must! haven't come across that before.

This is as good as the publicity photos indicate. A lovely old building, decorated and furnished in a sensitive and artistic way. Our room was excellent as were the breakfasts and evening meals. Service is friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. Do however be aware that this place is understandably very popular with both locals and visitors. Make sure that you... More

Came here for Sunday lunch, really busy and great atmosphere...took a while for drinks to to taken and delivered but no drama, food well priced and looked amazing. Would have been a 5 if it was hot as only just warm which was a shame, however it tasted and looked great! Will be back soon...

If you're in need of a perfect Sunday roast, with all the trimmings, then look no further. Lovely staff serving great food in a fantastic place... Yum...yum....yum! And we also lived the new 'addition' to the Cott 'family, "Tugboat" the rescue cat.... Only one thing left to say...."purr-fect" (!) ...
