I lived at the Hilbury court hotel for 5 months while on assignment. When I first walked in I was greeted with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is a beautifully decorated heritage building that the owners Audrey and Eddie take pride in. While I was living there they were busy everyday renovating everything to modernise the facilities... More

Hi Marc We do miss you and all the people you know still ask if you are okay and keeping in touch. We did have lots of fun and good times . We are still working hard painting and mending things, but all starting to look good now. I hope your new project is going well and you have settled... More

Stayed here for 1 night on New Years eve (after spending the day in Bath, and then heading off early morning to Longleat to feed the Tigers on New Years day!!) Brilliant hotel, it really is like your own home from home place. Lovely old building, inside decor very nice and homely (especially all the Christmas decorations)! Rooms were spot... More

What a lovely family you are. Thank you for you comments, the baby loved the trees and lights. I hope you enjoyed feeding the lions, and obviously got home safely.Happy New Year to you all and look forward to seeing you again. Kind regards Audrey and Eddy More

If you want a modern, hideous, unfriendly hotel go to Premier Inn in Trowbridge. If you want a welcoming, friendly, cosy and a place of real and lasting character then stay at Hilbury Court Hotel. Audrey and Eddie are both such lovely people, as in normal not pretentious. As for breakfasts the best I've ever had at any hotel anywhere... More

Stayed for 1 night , B&B. The lady who owned was very pleasant and helpful. Room was quite spacious, family room. Comfy bed with tea and coffee. Nice hot shower. Admittedly needs updating but lady told us was on todo list to have bathroom done. Breakfast was very nice, fruit, cereal, full English, tea and coffee. Great start to the day. Thought... More

Stayed here with friends, so had opportunity to compare rooms. Friends room had been upgraded, was a much larger room, had new bathroom, super king bed, oak furniture, compact tea/ coffee making facilities. Where as our room was much smaller, had old bathroom, over bath shower which hardly functioned, double bed. Kettle for tea/ coffee had to be stood on... More

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting a 94yr old relative. It was fantastic to have somewhere we could go home to after a day of stress and tension, just to unwind, get a good night sleep and start all over again with a fabulous breakfast. Thank you for such a friendly atmosphere that truely made us feel at home.... More

Good value, mid range hotel. The room we were in had been modernised and was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was very good with eggs made freshly to your liking. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us an early booking in as we were due at a wedding. I would have no qualms about staying... More

I stayed here for one night and it was great. The hotel decor looks great and it has a very cosy feel. Lovely lounge and bar area with TV. Eddie the owner, and his missus are so friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. Had a drink and a chat with... More

Only there for one night but would have happily stayed longer. Yes the decorators were in but that made no difference to my stay; they were unobtrusive. Room facilities were great; loved the new bathroom. Good breakfast, comfortable bar and friendly hosts. Would recommend.

We booked this relatively last minute so didnt have much choice but were pleasantly surprised with our visit. The hotel is being remodelled, room by room apparently and the builders' debris is out in the car park. It is not a good first impression, but gets better after that. We had a reasonable size double room, with two armchairs as... More
