MOUNT HAVEN MANAGEMENT NOTICE: "It is with sadness that we have to announce an extension to our planned winter closure timings. Unfortunately we've uncovered a number of unforeseen issues during the winter works. At this stage we are not aware of the extent of work that will be required. Regretfully, for our many guests, and our team, we will therefore be closed for the remainder of 2020 and until further notice."

We stayed only one night at this hotel last summer and it was amazing. The standard of the hotel is very high - rooms, bedding, services. But the views are out of this world. We had a most wonderful dinner (or should I say - supper? we did not order any mains.) on the terrace and then got one appetizer to the room and drank a bottle of sparkling wine with it on the balcony enjoying the view of St Michael Mount. During our stay we dealt with two employees at the front desk - Adele and Adelaide - both of whom were wonderful. And on the whole, the staff of the hotel were very good. We enjoyed breakfast the next day. I apologize to be so late with the review and also sorry to hear that the hotel experiences some difficulties that seem unrelated to the pandemic. I hope it will work out in the end and the hotel will reopen after all these difficult times and continue to provide exceptional accommodation and joy to future guests.

We stayed at the Mount Haven for one night and it was pure luxury! Watching the sunset over St Michael's Mount while enjoying great food and drink was a real pleasure. The room was well appointed and it was a great experience.

Delightful hotel, excellent food and they went out of their way to make sure that they accommodated us and our dog. Dogs are understandably not allowed in the restaurant but they were kind enough to make us up a table in the terrace bar so we could eat up there with our dog. Superb location, fantastic food, amazing views and friendly helpful staff, we will visit again and would highly recommend it.

We stayed 2 nights from the 30th of December and can’t recommend the hotel enough. We had a blissful bay room with the most stunning view out to St Michael’s Mount and the surrounding coastline. The room was beautiful, with a huge balcony. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. We arrived fairly late in the evening so changed our restaurant reservation to having bar snacks instead and what a treat they were. The chips were so delicious and the cocktails didn’t scrimp on the alcohol content. We were given tips about a couple of must see places to visit and from that we took a drive out to the Minack theatre which is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. We got back in time to take a walk along the causeway to St Michaels Mount then had a lovely lunch at the Godolphin restaurant on the beach front. The purpose of our stay was to spend New Years Eve in St Ives - it hosts a fabulous fancy dress street party and fireworks display. The hotel had pre-booked our taxi into town, but when she heard we hadn’t arranged the return trip, the lovely Lora from reception offered to pick us up and bring us home, as getting a taxi would be almost impossible! Bang on time she arrived in St Ives to pick us and another couple up and take us back to the hotel. We were so grateful, we would have been scuppered without her and she really went above and beyond, and I wish every hotel had a Lora! I would love to return in the summer months.

Arriving at the Mount Haven after a long drive, I received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home. My room on the ground floor was excellent: spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Breakfast was a highlight of the day but other meals were equally interesting and satisfying. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating during my stay and I look forward to returning in the Spring.
