We were a family of seven attending a wedding delayed from 2020. The booking was transferred along with the deposit, with no hassle. The rooms were clean and bright and the rooms at the front had a wonderful view to St Michael's Mount. But what really stood out for us was the welcome and the wonderful service from the staff - nothing was too much trouble.
We stayed for 6 nights and could not fault the hotel one bit. The service was excellent and friendly. The room was clean and spacious with wonderful views over St. Michael's Mount,. The staff were superb, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The food was excellent and in spite of trying other restaurants in the area we came back to the Cutty Sark. (We never found out why it was called The Cutty Sark!)
From our first interaction on arrival through breakfasts and evening meals the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Our room ( as advertised) looked straight out over the mount, a large lounge area provided a great sun trap and place to relax whilst the dining area and bar provided the more social able areas. The food ( well promoted as local) range and quality was well up to standard with small local tweaks raising it above the norm. Couldn't have been happier with our choice.
The hotel is nicely decorated and was very clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Staff were very friendly and can bring breakfast to your room if you arrange in advance. There is a nice choice of coffees, teas, biscuits and water in the room. Though the location is perfect, unfortunately the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the room had no view other than the car park entrance so it felt very over priced for a 2 night stay. The size of the double room was adequate for one person but would have been too small for 2.
Thank you so much for making our trip so comfortable and amazing, we wanted a peaceful get away. We stayed two nights and the room was immaculate and had a coastal cosy feeling to it. The bathroom was clean and modern, smart tv, small refreshments in the room really loved the idea of the recycling basket. We booked the last room at the hotel so had a standard double bed - this was the only downside as it was too small for us and slightly uncomfortable but didn’t dampen our stay and the room did get quite hot due to being above the kitchen. The staff were exceptional, everything you really want out of a stay! So friendly and welcoming made you feel so at home. The hotel itself was modern and interior was stunning, I especially took to the lounge area. Free wifi and gated parking and right by the sea front, brilliant access to everything. The restaurant was amazing, we opted for a few dishes but the scallops and hake were top of the chart. Lovely selection of wine and local gins! Loved that the bar area was separate although always busy. It has a lovely atmosphere! We will be visiting again. See you again :)…
A lovely 3 night break at the Marazion Hotel. We had a sea view room overlooking St Michael's Mount. The room was spacious and clean, with some nice touches, which all helped towards us having a very relaxing stay. The staff were cheerful, polite, very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was table service and excellent, with plenty of variety whether cooked or continental. We had an evening meal in the restaurant one night, with an excellent fish option from the specials board and a creme brulee for dessert - AMAZING! We would definitely recommend staying at the Marazion Hotel.
Just finished a 3 night stay at this fabulous hotel. We had room 9, the best room in the house with clear views to St Michael's Mount, what a view! The hotel staff cannot do enough for you, the food was fabulous, and there's a free car park at the back of the hotel. They are getting ready to open their outdoor beer garden and bar. Marazion is small but as a base it couldn't be better. Shout out to godolphin hotel across the road where we had an evening meal with an incredible view and great food. Don't think twice about staying here, you will not regret it.
Fantastic stay, the accommodation was five star and the views were breathtaking. The food was excellent, well cooked and seasonal. The lounge area was really relaxing and great for pre dinner drinks. The staff were wonderfully attentive and clearly all loved working at the hotel, thankyou everyone 😊
Just a one night stay to make use of the location for a visit to the island. Lovely and clean, lovely view and in house restaurant and pub were ideal. Will no doubt use again for other short breaks. Message to management, please think of your attentive staff take their face masks off! 🙏🏻
Trust the reviews like I did, a great little hotel with clean comfy rooms & perfect views over St Michael,s Mount. Great in room facilities & amenities. Which was perfectly serviced & kept topped up with water tea/ coffee & biscuits. Fantastic food in the evening served in the Cutty sark restaurant, i really enjoyed the fantastic open fish pie. Huge freshly cooked breakfast each morning. What's not to like !
