A warm welcome from Thierry and his wife sets the scene in this charming manoir. Excellent breakfast, peaceful surroundings, delightful host, and all a couple of minutes from Chinon. A perfect place to stay.

Most amazing place set in the middle of nowhere but only 10 minutes drive from the most beautiful town in the Loire - Chinon. Swimming pool was fantastic, hosts were wonderful & welcoming. Wifi on our iPads was non existent but we figured we could survive for a week! Breakfast was great, we met some fabulous people & the dining... More

Great hospitality, felt welcome and at home. Excellent place to relax as well as a good place to be based and explore the area. Close to Chinon and amenities, but still in the country amongst sunflower fields.

What a special place this is! My wife and myself recently visited and were blown away by this beautiful venue. The manager and his wife are a delight and the breakfasts a real hoot. Don`t expect your room to be serviced and we did find the hotel a bit difficult to find, but those are only very slight negatives. I... More

My husband, 5 year old son and I spent 2 nights, staying here en route to the Dordogne. We stayed in the Rabelais bedroom. It was a brilliant place to stay and the owner, Thierry, and his wife made us feel very welcome. Our room was very nice with a large, comfortable bed and lovely ensuite. We enjoyed relaxing by... We have just come back from a lovely stay in the Loire Valley in France, & our choice of Hotel (chambre d'hote) was brilliant. Le Manoir is a true Listed Building, the Bedroom was Fabulous, the owner , Mr & Mrs Deguingand, couldn't have been more helpful! Best place to stay.

The Manoir was originally part of a fifteenth century abbey. You walk to your room on the marble staircase that has been trod upon for centuries - just as you do when visiting the chateau of the Loire. We had an opportunity to stay in both family rooms. They were each unexpectedly large and beautifully furnished, with decor evoking the... More

We stayed in the cottage and loved every minute. Owners were lovely. Couldn't help us more. Pool to ourselves, which the children loved. Lots of castles in local area to visit. Little shopping village in Chinon. Cottage was very clean and equipped with everything you can think of. Lovely grounds for the children to play on. Own private courtyard. Will... More
