Location of the Black Horse is perfect, just off the main square in Grassington. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was quirky but nice. Food in the Restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Several real ales in the bar; only tried one (the only blond/pale ale) and it was very good. Overall, I would say it's an ideal... More

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again in future. If you do return you may find the back door in to the hotel more suitable as there are no stairs on that entrance. Kind Regards More

We visited the restaurant one evening before heading to the Grassington comedy festival. The food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. The pub had a family friendly atmosphere and was well maintained. Certainly worth a visited, regardless of the occasion!

Beautiful rustic hotel... Very dog friendly... Great breakfast and perfect spot for exploring the dales. Staff very friendly. Basic rooms but very clean and perfect for walking holidays. Thoroughly recommend!

A great little Inn in the heart of Grassington. Very comfortable, excellent range of beers, good food, in my opinion I think this is now the best pub in Grassington. We had a small dog with us & were made to feel very welcome. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent. Will definately stay here again.

We stayed for two nights at this pub with rooms. The room was clean and functional but a little cramped to move around. On the other hand, we were mostly there for sleeping and the bed was big enough! Shower was powerful enough and towels were large. It was great to find a pub in a tourist area which genuinely... My husband and I stayed here over the weekend as we love Grassington and this hotel allows dogs. It was a birthday surprise and the hotel provided a bottle of fizz in the room on arrival (organised with my husband), which was very nice of them. The room was lovely. Breakfast was very good and all the staff were great.... More

This hotel is just fabulous. Warm, cozy and very friendly. The bar is great, the restaurant and food is to die for and our room (room 4) was just very cozy. We stayed for a long weekend of walking and the hotel didn't let us down (unlike the dodgy weather). Easy to book in, room ready early, plenty of space... More

Very nice looking hotel and excellent customer service from all the staff. Cosy bar area and good quality drinks on offer, especially the gin selection & ales! Originally was staying in room 6 but noticed a lot of music from the bar downstairs could be heard- we were up early for walking the next day so mentioned it to staff... More

Thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and I am guessing you stayed on a night where Gentle Jazz or the local Ukulele band were performing in the restaurant/bar, hence the music. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards More

A Fantastic Tuesday evening spent in the Black Horse, popped in for a meal and a couple of drinks. I had the chicken fajitas and my partner had the pork escalopes in honey and mustard sauce. Both meals were very tasty indeed. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. We had noticed a few people arriving with... More

First impressions of this pub/hotel were very favourable. Grassington is a very small village with narrow roads and so parking is a quiz, especially when the festival is on. There is no dedicated parking at the hotel but outside of the festival you should be able to find a spot close by. If not there is free parking about 5... More

A 17th-century coaching inn in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. 15 en-suite rooms - twin, double, king-size, 4 poster (with a magnificent view into the Dales), even hostel bedrooms. Typically Dales in its interior with nary a level floor or wall in sight! Cosy bar with a log fire, and an equally cosy restaurant with a la carte or traditional fayre dishes. Plenty of superb walks in the immediate area. 50 yards from Grassington square.
