We were visiting the national park for two days so booked into the Glen Reenen rest camp. The reviews seemed pretty positive so we had no worries. On arrival we were met by friendly staff and given the keys to our 2 bedroom family chalet. The view from our chalet were stunning but the view inside was terrible. The ceiling...

Visiting with extended family, we had 2 rondavel huts for 2 nights. Clean, comfortable and adequately equipped. SA National Parks, at Glen Reenen, are OK but not exceptional. The TV was badly out of tune, no ice tray in the freezer and NO follow up by staff when the shortcomings were reported to reception. The park, walks and the drives...

We stayed over for a weekend getaway at the Glen Reenen Rest Camp. Our accommodation was what you wold expect from SANParks. The Longdawel we stayed in was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. The only drawback (first world problems) was the parking was a bit far from the longdawel. There was a couple of sour points however....

Really nice camp facilities in the bottom of the valley, with beautiful flat spacious camp sites. Right next to the river with loads of shade, which is great for summer however can be rather cold for winter.

I stay for a night. we arrive quite late around 8pm but we were able to pick up the keys from security which was ok. It was very cold when we arrived and I love chalet - it was clean and comfortable :) the next morning, the view, beautiful mountains surrounded us was stunning, we start hiking around 7am to...

My fiance and I recently stayed here for a weekend. The rondavel is very basic, doesn't have an oven. But thats all I can say negatively about this phenomenal place. The place was clean and the scenery was amazing. Also it was so quiet and relaxing

We camped in the Glen Reenen Rest Camp over a long weekend for a total of 5 days. The surrounding sand stone mountains are majestic and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. This is probably one of the most scenic and magical areas I've been to. Attractions in the park is minimal, but for hiking it seems to be one of...

We were accommodated in a family chalet at Glen Reenen. The chalet itself was spacious and clean, two bedrooms and an open plan lounge and living area. The unit (26) had an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai, really quite nice. The downside: This was a self-catering unit but there were no braai dishes/pans and more importantly no dishcloths, napkins, washing...

Having passed through this beautiful Park on a previous occasion I was really excited to incorporate Glen Reenen as a first stop on our road trip. Camping at Glen Reenen was totally amazing except for the noise. The camp site was great, we had an awesome spot. The facilities were top class. Clean and loads of hot water all the...

The campsites are not that well demarcated and so people who arrive first tend to spread themselves over two camp sites which is selfish. The grass was long and the electrical points are centralised so if you want a nice spot you would have to have about 50 metres of cable which is dangerous. The ablutions are in need of...
