This is not a. Small hotel but a large complex with probably one hundred rooms whose main business is catering for large wedding parties of up to 2,000 guests and we seemed to be three kf maybe a dozen guests in total so it had a somewhat deserted feeling. We were put in a room about as far away from reception as possible even though the hotel was obviously empty and the room was not really well furnished and certainly housekeeping standards were low. The bed cover was a sheet and an uncovered duvet!!!! How hygienic was that!!!!!! Also the bath was too big to fit in to the space available for the bath so the end of the bath was filled in with concrete which would allow the water to flow behind it. I dread to think what was lurking in that large space. Dinner was to say the least a disappointment one steak which was like leather and two chicken escalopes which were dry and uninteresting. I asked for some fruit for desert and was served a banana and an apple. Breakfast was the standard fare of yoghurt and pastries but good coffee. All in all there must be better places to Stay in the area without a concrete filled bath!

The worst place to be in. Too noisy because of the bar and it’s orchestra almost all night. Staff very nice and helpful. Not clean. Poor light. Old fournitures. The entrance ressembles to that of prison. Never come back to this hotel

On the plus side - Rooms were a good size, large in-fact, good size swimming pool, and easy to find, on the main road between Beni Mellal and Kasbar Tadla. The day time reception chap was excellent, as was the owners wife, who looks after the restaurant. The cleaners ( housekeeping) were good. Very nice people. Food at breakfast and dinner were also very good. The function room for parties was EXCELLENT, clean and tidy and looked great, perfect for a party. on the - Minus side - Rooms are a little tired and need painting and replacement furniture. The room rate is way over priced for February, was told on the phone the day before 700.00 MAD per night, called the next morning to book and was told 800.00 MAD, ended up paying 700 MAD. Service at breakfast and Dinner were ..POOR... very slow and unorganised. - We had no hot water for 1 day, but was fixed within 3 hours. Gardens were a mess and unkept - there was also a lot of working going on, to try an improve the hotel, so was a lot of mess and noise day and night. My wife and I arranged a engagement party for my Brother in Law and German girlfriend, in the hotel function room, a table service Dinner for 24. The service was poor, but what sent us crazy was...... during Dinner my wife was pulled away from the table by a girl from reception, and was asked to pay the bill for the whole evening, for everyone, the party had only just started. Also we have offered to pay 25% or the full balance 2 days before... we went to reception and they said you must pay now, right now.... the night staff just did not care, my wife and I missed most of the photos and a large part of the ceremony, due to arranging the payment, we could not tell the happy couple of the problems at the time as we did not want to spoil their special day! We paid the bill on my Companies card, and asked for an invoice..... they said come back tomorrow, and it will be ready !! AAARRRRHHHHHHHH..... when we asked the following day, no one had any idea of what we wanted, needed or really interested in helping.... Just to make the hotel experience really fun the newly engaged couple, could not have a room together as ..... they were not married !! (Moroccan crazy Law) We found this absolutely outrageous, considering that The hotel Bar and Nightclub are open to anyone, so the bar and nightclub is full of very drunk local (They must be having a night off from Religion !!! ) farmers and local " Working Girls- Hookers", which is fun to watch.... however, really frustrating and hypocritical. The attitude and work rate of the night staff and restaurant staff in general is very poor, they have no idea of " Hotel Service". 2 members of staff, tried very hard to give good service, but the rest were not interested.

I stayed in this hotel with my research team and we had a very nice time. The hotel served us breakfast in a huge stately table and treated us like royalty. The rooms were comfortable and the shower and bath a great treat after traveling all day through the miles of agricultural lands. I would like to return during summer and enjoy the huge pool with the lovely view of the Atlas mountains. Overall, Beni Mellal was a wonderful, pleasant surprise.

We had a break travelling between Fes and Morocco. Not trying to anticipate our future accommodations within Morocco, but the expected probability of certain issues, appears to be evident in many hotels so far. As prior hotels have attested to, many of the staff here are also a little slow, have less than a minimal comprehension of service and it seems they have difficulty coping, especially in the hospitality side of things. Dining here, our food was generally fine, well presented and flavoursome, but again, the service let it down with meals coming at all different times on our table. On the positive side, there were some substantial renovations going on. The hotel grounds, reception areas, pool and gardens are spectacular and designed for the (wow) factor, providing an almost palatial appearance. Our room was generally fine, although a little dated, but the prices reflected this.
