The reception was efficient and polite. The rooms are spacious and schooling. The bathroom is clean. Dinner was OK but was served in a small restaurant too. Prices for a beer or a glass of wine are exorbitantly high. The breakfast was good but served in thet small restaurant. We traveled with a group and the next day had a...

This hotel has been around for some years now - perhaps at least 20 years. So it is a bit 'faded'. But at least it does still operate! Everything about it is out of date - but then what do you expect in a place like Beni Mellal? It is a convenient stopping over point whether you are travelling from...

This was the worst hotel ever. It is rated 4 stars but I would classify it as no stars. The rooms are small and barely clean. It was very chilly the night we stayed and there was no heat. The windows are not insulated well. The nearby mosque call to prayer early in the morning woke us up. The bathroom...

My one night at hotel Chems after a long drive in pouring rain was a dream come true. The front desk was friendly and helpful: I was handed room key before and spared filling checkin form until I rested . The room was very spacious; king sizebed, TV set; a small fridge, bath tub and balcony which overlooks a lush...

Unlike most of your contributors we arrived in Beni Mellal by bus and spent two nights at the Chems Hotel. Beni Mellal has very little to offer the visitor but it is situated near stunning scenery and a magnificent waterfall (Les Cascades de Ouzoud). The hotel is located on the edge of town and is pleasant and modern and the...

Like several other reviewers, we too used Beni Mellal as a stopover for the drive from the Fès\Meknès area to Marrakech. The Chems served this purpose quite well. It is situated in a nice garden and the pool looks inviting, although the water was not quite warm enough yet. Rooms were functional & clean, the only problem was a plastic...

We were travelling by car on the very scenic N8 highway from Fes to Marrakech and are glad that we had decided to make a mid-way stop ( Fez to Beni Mellal is 220 km ( 4 hrs) and Beni Mellal to Marrakesh is 197km ( 3 hrs). This route has a distinctive topographic profile with the Atlas mountains lining...

We were travelling back from Fes to Marrakech, needed somewhere to stay, and that turned out to be Beni Mellal. The Chems was the first hotel we came across with easy parking. It's a (reasonably) modern hotel, friendly but unremarkable, which also goes for the restaurant. Good points were the pool and extensive gardens.it really was a delight to be...
