Upon arrival we were disappointed that we weren’t shown any of the hotels facilities, just directions to our room. A nice bottle of wine had been left for us. The room was very nice & the hotel is beautiful. It’s just such a shame that the service is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. We booked into the bistro but they had no record of our booking which caused lots of confusion. The food choice is very very limited. The service is very slow & unpredictable. Constantly having to ask for service, nobody seems to know what’s going on! The pool is lovely but no pool service, the hotel is missing a huge market here and it’s disappointing that you can’t get a drink at the pool. Our final night we were looking forward to a bottle of wine from the hotels vineyard but it wasn’t available!!! Housekeeping is the same, unpredictable! It’s such a shame that the hotel owners don’t address these issues that prevent this from being a good hotel.

Madam, I am happy to read that you found the hotel, its amenities very nice and cosy. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the service as we are very attentive to offering a service of excellence. I am all the more surprised by your remark that, for example we systematically propose a visit to the Domaine unless our guests choose to go directly to the room in order to rest from their trip. Regarding the Bistrot, we have only few different fresh dishes as we only cook seasonal products. That's teh reason why we regularly renew the restaurant menu. About the pool, we chose to ensure the greatest silence for our guests who want to enjoy the tranquility of the pool without disturbing comings and goings of service. It is a choice that satisfies the vast majority of our guests but I am sorry that it did not suit you. Our Cuvée Alphonse has been so successful that it is now sold out. I am really sorry for the inconveniance. The Cuvée Alphonse 2018 is very soon available ! We do hope have thepleasure to welcome you back soon. Sincerely yours, Audrey Bazin

Stayed here two nights with family and the highlight most definitely was the dinner at the Michelin star restaurant - as a vegetarian, the food is the best we had! We stayed in a room with a terrace and would definitely recommend that - the decor is quite modern and the rooms were large and comfortable. The extensive grounds are very scenic with the grand oaks and a small fountain with goldfish. We had meals at both the restaurants - the Cuisine De Amelie definitely had some good deserts, but the salads we ordered were just about ok. The staff were professional - some had minor challenges in English (which is understandable), but always got around to try and help in any way possible. Overall, it was a great experience.

Very beautiful Hotel and Park, fine atmosphere. Amazing Food in the Restaurant and of Course very fine wine. Very friendly staff. We had a dog with us and it was amazing to go around at the beautiful park and beautiful surrounding. Our Dinner in the Gourmet Restaurant Le Champ de Lunes was really perfect, very very good. Food perferct, staff perfect, wine perfect ! At the second evening we went to the Cuisine of Amelie, also very good, only think maybe to improve is from the side of kitchen to advise on the menu if dishes are cold or hot. thanks.

We stayed 3-nights in May 2018 at Domaine de Fontenille. The property is beautiful both within and out. For us, it was a good base to visit the Luberon villages like Gordes, Bonnieux, Lourmarin, as well as the city of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, etc. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed with a big bed and large shower. We also really liked the breakfast spread especially when you can eat outside on the patio. They also have a Michelin star restaurant on premise, so you don’t really need to go elsewhere for dinner. If you do, the town of Lauris has several restaurants you can choose from, and Lourmarin is also not a far drive.
