I spent 5 nights at the lodge with Olito as my guide! He was such an amazing, thoughtful, and kind guide! We discussed that my primary interests were nature and Olito was sure to show me all the ins and out of the amazing flora and fauna of the areas we were in! The food was really good, as well as impeccably clean rooms and common areas!! Thanks so much for a great stay!

The Amazon was an experience but i received no help from my guide. I was supplied with guide and translator, but my guide was basically mute! We first visited his home town where he said little. My questions were answered using only a few words. On the boat I asked him to stop for any birds he observed. He stopped only when I spotted something. He said nothing about the birds. He was not qualified to lead the night tour so instead i was assigned to follow a family of seven engaged in lively conversation. He pointed out a few insects that remained in spite of the family’s noise. I met some nice tourists at the lodge who told me about the many birds, snakes and insects they saw, and who had no complaints with their guides.

Thanks to Rigo, absolutely the best guide imaginable. Rigo, you are so knowledgeable and so such a great person to hike in the forest with. Basilio thanks for all of your help. Rudolfo, thanks for the best and most vivid animal stories. Angela, thanks for efficiently transporting me to and from the airport and the dock in Leticia! Thanks to everyone in kitchen. Everything on this trip worked out perfectly. My cabin was the very model of rustic comfort. The food was great! Everyone was so friendly and kind. I loved all of the activities.

I stayed at Yoi ecolodge for three nights. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Amazon and indigenous communities up close. Also a great place to relax and get away from the real world. Great guides and hosts.

Its been a lifelong dream to visit the Amazon Rainforest and my visit did not disappoint.  The sights and sounds of the forest and the river we surreal and our experience felt authentic and honest.  If you are expecting jaguars at every turn and natives in loin cloths this is not the destination for you.  But if you are open to the reality of the region and all its incredible beauty than I cant recommend visiting enough. The Yoi staff were the perfect hosts for me and my son. From the moment Angela picked us up from the airport we felt as if we were in good hands.  Rey our guide was incredibly attentive and informative and the kitchen staff always had a smile .  The lodge is simple and comfortable surrounded by the incredible.  The meals where basic but yummy and the activities showcased how amazing this part of the world is.  Thanks to all at Yoi but especially to Rey our guide.
