Ol' Macdonald's Old Farm style resort! We came on a Saturday and stayed one day camping in a tent in the overflow area. Very nice place but our GPS got us lost about 2 minutes away. They have so much for kids; we saw playgrounds, movie nite, pedal cars, train ride and of course, the beach. The weather was nice.... More

We just got back from a 3 night stay at Ol' Macdonalds. We stayed in site 265 which was an unserviced site pretty much as far from the beach as one can get. We phoned the morning of and got this site. Despite other reviews saying the staff was rude I found them to be the exact opposite. They were... More

We went for a weekend and wished we stayed longer. Lots of activities, great for families, and I found for how busy the campground was it was fairly quiet. Lots of respectful campers :) The store onsite had everything you may need and the cafe food was surprisingly good!! We will be returning but will book at least 3 nights(hopefully... More

This is a great place to camp in Central Alberta for those who like the busy campgrounds with lots to do. There are bikes, mini golf, arcade, train and swing rides, beach, store, restaurant etc etc! There are quite a few different camping areas as well as a few cabins. Would recommend for young families!

We camped this May long. We showed up on Thursday, and we were the only campers there (we just beat the rush). Staff were busy maintaining and prepping for the long weekend onslaught. Everything looked great. We were given a free game of pool at the arcade, and since there was a fire ban, they were setting up to hold... More

We started to visit the campground 4 years ago, first with a tent and then with travel trailer. There is a lake, nice beach, lots of campsites to choose from, in the summer there is a small train running few times a day, a carousel, and you can rent special carts and you can pedal around the large campsite (some... It was going to rain all the weekend of our booking with my grand-daughter, however it was going to be sunny the following Tuesday-Wednesday. So I called to in advance to see if they had any open sites for the Tuesday-Wednesday and it was confirmed that they were ample room. When I politely requested that the booking be pushed a... More

Just came home from there. They had their music festival so all walks of life. Good concert, but for the price compared to last year....seems they think that no matter what they charge..people will come. Last year was $50/person for the weekend....this year..$100/person.....plus the cost of camping. Many people were saying if they think they are going to raise the... More

This is a family owned campground and the owners have done a exceptional job attempting to cater to everyone. It is apparent that the children are the most important in this park and that is what it is all about. The staff is very friendly, they have a coffee shop so us coffaholics can get our fix, a great country... More

This resort, has alot to offer for alot of different people. There is a restaurant, mini golf, numerous parks, train rides for the kids, nightly movies, etc. I stayed here on the long weekend, when it was raining and was still able to have some fun with the kids without having to be stuck in the trailer. The park also has... More
