I got the cheapest room. To my surprise the room has a separate bathroom with a bath tub. Room was cool and big. It can even fir in another bed, just in case you've decided to add more friends during your stay. There is a pool with a huge slide --- nice :) The staff hat assisted me was nice and offered me free breakfast :) Location was near the market, church, stores and mall. The place was safe even if i returned late at night after a stroll in the city.
Room was huge, good for a family of 2-5. The thing is poor maintainance in the toilet, so much molds, no toiletries provided, only tissue and you need to ask for it. poor maintainance in the pool, you can just jump in anytime in the pool without washing your feet (🤮). Trashes everywhere. Bins no covers. 👎🏽 some swimmers dont have proper swimming attire.
This was my second time visiting Angono for Higantes. The year before I stayed at a hotel in Taytay because I didn't know about this little resort/bed & breakfast. Got a great deal on the two night stay but was a little worried due to some of the reviews I've read. I'll admit, there was often a lot of people playing music or doing karaaoke by the pool and my bathroom/shower room was separate from the bedroom but it was a private bathroom. I can only assume that the complaints about bad service are related to people who no longer work at VJR because everyone I came into contact with was helpful and friendly. All in all, especially considering the price I was very happy. The room was very large, clean and comfy with a very big and very soft bed. If you visit Angono for Higantes or any time of year to soak up the food and culture of the art capital of the Philippines Villa Jhoana is an ideal place to make your homebase!…
The WiFi in room was fantastic , hot water in shower was excellent, air conditioning first class and the bed was 5 stars for comfort. Other than that I couldn’t wait to leave! The resort manager Liezl really helpful and I must make a special mention of Liezl who listened and did her best to make a bad situation good. The reality is whatever she did wouldn’t make me change my opinion of the dreadful room we were allocated. On arrival we asked for laundry service but got told by a worker who showed us the room none available, yet when we spoke to Liezl she said yes it is and organised within a few minutes plus had all done within 4 hours. We were at the resort for 2 nights and 1 night got credited when I pointed out my displeasure at being expected to pay £43 a night to stay in a rundown room. Don’t let the advertising pictures fool you with white wall rooms as our room was painted in a depressing purple that had touch up paint all over. The rooms have signs outside like honeymoon suite, presidents suite but ours didn’t have enough space for the sign that should have read “room needs to be shut for refurbishment suite” The bathroom has no shelves, the toilet roll holder is broke, the tap drips, the cold tap end is broken off, the shower holder is a fixed direction but that’s not a problem because the screw is pushed into a big hole and the whole thing falls off the wall when you turn on. There are 2 open electric connector boxes that need closing . Bed lining was torn and stained, the furniture old, the kettle didn’t work, 2 sachets of coffee and 2 sachet of creamer were on the room but no tea, sugar or water Liezl did supply when we asked, and the walls are dotted with touch up paint. On arrival we passed the pool and my first words to the wife were ‘ I won’t be going in that water’ The pool has no loungers, it’s the community swimming pool and when we returned to the hotel at 10pm from eating outside it was packed with locals in the pool, spectators, people inside the hotel a dog and screaming kids. I could go on but I think you get the picture of my disappointment?…
We can't swim in its pool, its just too crowdy. We initially thought, only the once booked in its rooms are to use the pools but its open wide to the public.,People are allowed to plunge in waters without taking a shower, there is no strict swimwear rule, water turns a bit muddy to swim on to, people sing at the top of their voice in the karaoke until past midnight. People shout in groups, are occupying tables next to its rooms with food laid on it, even babies sleeping on the tables.. The scenario appears like its just a public bath.
