La Torretta Sul Borgo B&B

#2 of 30 B&Bs / Inns in Grottammare
It is a place recommended to those who love historical villages remained, like in the past, without noises and traffic with the light of the sea which filters through the old shutters. It is pleasant to get lost among the alleys of the village or overlook over the sea from the balconies such as the striking Largo Il Tarpato which is near "La torretta sul borgo".You can reach it just after Piazza Peretti, a famous tourist destination, where there is also the Teatro dell'Arancio, while from the beneath Loggias a wonderful view over the sea bursts open.

The medieval part of Grottammare hangs off the side of a hill over looking the newer parts of town and the beaches. It looks like a movie set. It is necessary to park your car a bit away from the small alleyways that make it so charming. There are great views from the B&B as well. Stefano provided a terrific breakfast and I would strongly recommend this B&B

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stefano's B&B for the historical architecture, comfortable room with nice bathroom, beautiful views of the town and sea, bountiful breakfast served by his mother that included fresh shaved proscuitto and espresso, and their kind helpful attitude! Felt right at home and highly recommend this one of a kind lodging!

Gorgeous hotel in the old city with beautifully decorated rooms and bathrooms, delicious, made with love breakfast and outstanding view from the top of the city. We loved everything about it! Friendly owners made us feel like home.

We came by train and don't have a car. Get explicit instructions on how to find the B&B as google maps doesn't help! The beach is quite a trek and we had to plan carefully to only walk up that hill once per day... The B&B itself is very nice. Well decorated and comfortable, clean rooms. Can be a bit noisy when loud Italians are chatting in the communal areas late at night. Excellent breakfast available from 8am. This could perhaps be available a little earlier for early risers like ourselves. Free snacks and free bottled water pleased us. The medieval village is very charming, with narrow cobbled streets. There are 3 or 4 nice restaurants 2 minutes walk away. The village hosts lots of evening events and the area has many visitors well into the night. A great place to stay if you have a car, but not convenient for beach goers.

Great medieval style accommodation in the old uphill part of Grottommare. Very comfortable, modern large rooms. Interesting location. Great friendly hosts. Fantastic breakfast. Within walking distance of the town by the coast. Recommended.
