Terry was on the desk when we arrived and was so helpful in answering any questions. The food in Hagars Restaurant was good and reasonably priced. They have a morning and lunch buffet which we did not use as we were looking for supper fare. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite large. Appreciated how clean it was. TV was regular fare, nothing special. The heater/air conditioner was mounted in the window so it was darker in the room than we would have liked. We would book again if the opportunity rises. Priced very reasonable.
I stayed at the Norseman March 25-28 2022 while I attended a local dog show. When I left Sunday morning I forgot a sheet on the bed . The sheet was a Christmas gift and it was one of a kind from an American National Specialty . I noticed today, Thursday March 31 and called the hotel right away . After being put on hold to check the desk clerk came back on to say no they did not have it . I said are you sure? I know I left it there . Maybe someone took it home ? She went off the phone again and came back to say , I talked to housekeeping and they didn’t find it and they just cleaned the room yesterday . I said you just cleaned the room yesterday when I left 4 days ago?? She was quick to rush me off the phone saying yes that’s right we didn’t get to it until yesterday ??? Really ?? Isn’t it sad when people have to lie over a sheet . If they threw it out just tell me . I believe the housekeeping stole it , what am I left to think ?? I’m very disappointed 😢…
Huge shout out to the management and all staff of the Norseman Inn for making a wonderful wedding for pulling off our daughters wedding in a short two weeks! Casino hotel had a flood and we needed 43 rooms and banquet area in just 2 weeks! The managers came to our rescue with smiles and open arms to make the event as stress-free and wonderful as possible! The hotel is extremely friendly, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff! The food was simply amazing! Everyone was impressed with the rehearsal dinner , the wedding banquet and late lunch! The hotel has a wonderful café as well. I can not say enough good things about the staff. The hotel is dated, but extremely tasteful and clean. The event was beautiful and relaxed from the moment we contacted the hotel...God works in mysterious ways and I think we were meant to be at the Norseman! Thank you to you all! Highly recommend for your next venue, they know how to run a stress free event!…
We booked a two night stay with Airmiles. Had we not we would have walked out. We asked for a Pet Free room due to Allergies; we were told of a 160 room hotel they had None. The room we finally decided on had less pet stains than others. We left our shoes on the the entire time. The noisy old elevator was dirty and smelled. Toilets'need replacing too.
Decent rooms, very clean, but hotel was noisy as it was to full capacity and it had various groups there. We were there for a basketball tournament so for 1 night it was just fine. Beds were decent and temperature control was easy to operate. Not happy that they do not offer a continental breakfast but I do understand that not all hotels to that. It is close to many restaurants.
The hotel was clean but outdated. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. A few choices for meals and drinks. The location is close to everything. They need to pay more attention to detail, for example my hair dryer didn't work and the soap dispenser was empty and didn't work probably after staff supposedly filled it.
This is a great hotel with three plus restaurants, a arcade for kids.pet friendly and great customer service at the front desk. Would come again. Location is awesome with shopping and restaurants all around as well as a movie theater..
My wife, a friend and I all stayed at Norsemen Inn for one night. We got in after 10:30pm and had a quick and friendly check in. After settling into our room we went to the attached bar for some drinks. It was a Monday so pretty quiet. Lovely decor, pool table, VLTs, and a dance floor. Looked like it would be a lot of fun on a weekend. Bedtime! The room itself was clean, bed was comfortable, good wifi. We all got a great sleep. Breakfast in the cafe the next morning was delicious. The special included choice of meat plus eggs, hash browns, toast, and coffee or tea for $9.00! Perfect start to our day. I’d stay here again.
Hair dryer in bathroom did not work at all, chairs falling apart, hair left in bathroom, bottle of juice left in fridge from the people in the room before us, pillows very lumpy and bed not very comfortable
Stayed here this past weekend. Booked it online through a 3rd party booking website and paid around 120 bucks a night for each of two rooms. Both rooms looked the same, had 2 beds in each room. Check in was quick and fairly standard. Because we booked online there was a 50 dollar charge held on credit card until checkout. This is lower than most hotels charge when you do not pay at the property. Rooms were on the 3rd floor. The property was clean, easy to find, and relatively modern. It is on the west end of camrose, across the street from a grocery store, next door to a couple pizza places, shopping half a block away. Location was super easy to find. The room was clean, the thermostat worked fine, the bathroom was renovated and decent. Water pressure okay, and no noise at all from the other occupants of the hotel on the weekend we were there. The wifi worked well. There is no breakfast included but there is a restaurant on site that we ate at. About 15 bucks each for breakfast there. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations for what a 3 star property should offer. There is probably only one or two more modern but also more expensive hotels in town that we seen, so just based on Value, i think this hotel was decent.…
