Stayed here this past weekend. Booked it online through a 3rd party booking website and paid around 120 bucks a night for each of two rooms. Both rooms looked the same, had 2 beds in each room. Check in was quick and fairly standard. Because we booked online there was a 50 dollar charge held on credit card until checkout. This is lower than most hotels charge when you do not pay at the property. Rooms were on the 3rd floor. The property was clean, easy to find, and relatively modern. It is on the west end of camrose, across the street from a grocery store, next door to a couple pizza places, shopping half a block away. Location was super easy to find. The room was clean, the thermostat worked fine, the bathroom was renovated and decent. Water pressure okay, and no noise at all from the other occupants of the hotel on the weekend we were there. The wifi worked well. There is no breakfast included but there is a restaurant on site that we ate at. About 15 bucks each for breakfast there. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations for what a 3 star property should offer. There is probably only one or two more modern but also more expensive hotels in town that we seen, so just based on Value, i think this hotel was decent.

This hotel is not expensive at all, but don't expect anything fabulous! Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are a good size, bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but functional. However, everything is well worn and not terribly up-to-date. But the lounge is fun, the food is tasty and the pies are GREAT! Lots of strip-mally shops and restaurants nearby

Friendly staff, dated but clean room, amenities/toiletries all good, coffee great. Concrete building, I'm guessing, and feels solid. Could hear people in halls but nothing that kept us awake. Some chatter from smokers outside banquet/bar rooms but turned fan on hvac unit and all was good. Elevator had funky smell. Advised staff on departure.

It’s been over a decade since we last stayed at the Norsemen - a sentimental favourite of ours. While we’ve had good experiences in the past, our recent visit was somewhat disappointing due to the state of the rooms - which as another review points out, is showing as “worn out”. We stayed in a Junior Queen Executive room and our first disappointment was with the lack of tub (replaced by a shower which seems to be a trend). The furniture seems to be the same as what was in the room over a decade ago with the couch sagging with stains and rips (see photos). The carpet was also stained with the walls and shower area also dirty (see photos). The staff were friendly however it was a disappointing stay overall due to the state of the room. For the price there are other options in Camrose.
