We stayed 3 nights and it was wonderful. The cottage was very clean, quiet and fully self contained. Our breakfast was in the fridge with eggs from their chooks, bacon, bread, coffee, tea.... The place is a heaven on earth with welcoming owners. Graeme was very nice and told us about his settling in the area, the tin mine history and... More

What a wonderful surprise this place was, we arrived at the cottage (Ah Back) and were pleasantly surprised at the lovely array of food that was there on our arrival, we wandered the property and explored the river bank. A perfect spot to base ourselves for bike riding, The owners are a beautiful couple that were very welcoming. I would... More

Lovely couple who own the cottages are very welcoming. We were given food for breakkie, chocolates, wine and they even had warm bread being made as we walked in the cabin smelt amazing! We got a romantic package that included the massage and hot tub which was beautiful to go in and look up at all the stars at night.... More

We were absolutely spoilt with the amount of provisions here, bacon, eggs, choccies, wine, beer, fresh baked bread on arrival, it was all so good - too much to mention: Definitely spring for the indulgence package. There is no way you could be cold, the heating is amazing, the space cozy but not cramped, just perfect for two. The amenities... More

Well what a find. We stayed at Ah Ping cottage with one Queen bed and two singles. Excellent facilities and a small but nice supply of breakfast provisions. Wonderful grounds to roam and meet the fauna including resident alpacas and chooks. The river had just been in flood so unfortunately couldn't use the the kayaks - maybe next time. Owners... More

We stayed here for two nights with our 3 active children - and it was a great place for us. The kids loved the creek and the animals and there is some wonderful scenery, walks and waterfalls to discover. Definitely worth making the trip around the waterfalls and stop in at Pyengana Dairy/Holy Cow Cafe - yum! If your kids... More

Have stayed here twice. First was an anniversary in the luxury cabins mid winter last year. While it was lovely we discovered the 8 person cabin with full kitchen option and couldn't wait to bring the kids back to ride the trails at Derby. Returned in March with the kids and some friends and had an awesome holiday. Campfire in... More

Hey Martin! Thank you for your review. This is our first review of the Settler's Hut, which we set up for MTBers and bush-walkers. The Blue Derby trails are amazing and truly world-class, so we are not surprised you had a first-class adventure experience. Of course the hut is set up to accommodate six, but we are pleased we were... More

We stayed in the Fong Hok (?) cottage, and it was just gorgeous Comfy bed, lovely linen and towels, awesome touches such as their fresh eggs, bacon and even some caramel fudge! It's not a B&B so Graham and Christine don't need to provide this, but they're lovely welcoming people and they run a beautiful set up. We walked down... More

I've had some time to reflect on our stay, and I've read through other reviews, but I just don't agree with the glowing reviews. The hosts are nice people, and I've got a lot of respect for what they've achieved. The site is quiet and peaceful and the cottages are well equipped. We enjoyed using the kayak on the river.... Oh dear, they do say ‘you cannot please all of the people all of the time’. We are sorry MFlint did not enjoy his/her stay with us. (BTW we have no record of MFlint from Sydney staying with us) We have a passion for growing and supplying oriental ilium’s ( and other blooms) to our cottages which MFlint does not... More

Stay in Ah Moy and really enjoyed it. Lovely place, well maintained , fully equipped and very clean. Nice walks around to nearby lake and great space for kids to run around. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We offer romance, seclusion and privacy in fully self-contained two-bedroom and studio spa-cottages each with river views - situated on a 36 acre bush alpaca farm. Each cottage has a private outdoor dining area with bar-be-que and the studio cottages have an outdoor heated spa. Principles of ecological sustainability are combined with the comforts of a luxurious retreat. Your only disturbance might be from the occasional inquisitive pademelon or soaring eagle. This stretch of the Ringarooma River is favored by fly fishermen. Chinese heritage is celebrated with an interpretation centre, landscape art and walking tracks through historic mining and water races. ... more   less
