Great selection of gins! Waiting staff very friendly and efficient. Good evening menu. Didn't stay in the hotel, so cannot comment on the accommodation. The town of Easingwold is very pretty with lots of individual shops.

We have just returned home from the north east stopping of at the George for our last night. This is a lovely quaint pub come guest house in the market square of this quite picturesque village. On the down side we had room 2.This room is quite large and clean but can be quite dark with no view at all.... More

Booked a 4 night break to be able to visit Yorkshire moors, dales and coast. Ideally located for this. The ground floor room was spacious in both the bedroom/living room area and bathroom. Excellent shower, and bath with lots of hot water. The room also was excellently lit with halogen lamps. There was a separate restaurant for evening meal and... More

A very comfortable stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food on the menu offered a varied choice and I think everyone would find something they liked. It was cooked nicely and served efficiently - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast consisted of the usual choices but was freshly cooked and again, efficiently served. We were made to feel very welcome... More

We booked 1 night here as a last minute bank holiday break. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was in the main building was comfortble and quiet. We booked lunch on August Bank Holiday Monday. We were made very welcome & offered the choice of eating in the bar, the 'courtyard' or the restaurant. We chose the restaurant...which was surprisingly empty. However, we had a lovely table in the bay overlooking the market square. Served by a very professional & friendly young man, we chose from the... More

Stayed one night in room 14 in the outside extension block, very basic, needs lamps and not spotlights which make it really bright and unwelcoming. The rooms were extremely clean . The breakfast was really good and good staff in all areas as well, very helpful. The breakfast room is lovely, why is the other room you eat in not... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on the George. I understand, from our Manager, that you chose the room on arrival, after deciding you preferred a room with twin-beds. Diners have the option of eating in either the Market Place Restaurant or the more informal Courtyard. Breakfast is served in the restaurant. More
