I enjoyed our 4 night stay at River Dolphin Resort. After seeing all the attractions Kratie had to offer, it was great to come back and relax by the pool, or work out at the gym. Also the restaurant had the best food we had in Kratie. Delicious khmer and western food; vegetarian/vegan options available and everything at a fair price. Location is a bit outside of the town (2km), but one of the nice staff members were always happy to give us lift there and back. I Would recommend expecially for families and couples.
We stayed for one night. The hotel is outside of town. The usual noice from roosters and dogs. But noice from the kids in the pool area was the worst. The pool is just next to the bar/restaurant. Not possible to have a decent conversation. The food is not too bad. The breakfast is slow, despite the fact that your order had been taken the nihgt before and especially if you come with a group
Good hotel, nice pool. Rooms a little dated and tired but very clean with everything you may need. Very good food, very well priced, good restaurant service. Friendly and helpful staff, great free Tuk Tuk into town.
This hotel is unpretentious and not attractive from outside. However, it is clean, welcoming, has spacious rooms and the food is fantastic and cheap. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it was a pleasure to stay for our very hectic day tour. Tuk tuk to town is free. The pool was being well used and looked very clean and everyone using it looked happy.
My wife and I traveled with another couple that sets up teams to do Medical Mission trips. We first traveled to Vietnam and as we were leaving the United States the airline discovered my wife's birthday on her electronic visa to Vietnam was off by one month. My friends had it corrected through a travel agent while we were in the air. We left Saigon and had reservations at this hotel which had a van at the Cambodian border to pick us up at a remote border crossing. My wife was first in line at the check point and was stamped out just fine. I was next and they couldn't process an electronic visa. My wife was out to Cambodia and couldn't come back in to Vietnam and i would have to go to the airport in Saigon to get out. My wife, very upset went on to the hotel where they treated her great. Our phones wouldn't communicate with each other so the owner of the hotel Chamnan went to her room several times with his phone to let me talk to her. I got a flight the next day to Phnom Penh and they had a van waiting to pick me up and take me 6 hours to the hotel. They kept the restaurant open so I could have a meal when I arrived. The staff new the situation we had been through and did an outstanding job of making us feel at ease. The food was great, rooms were clean and well serviced. They made a bad situation a lot better. Couldn't ask for better. …
