Going to comment how amazing is our family experience staying at the UParadisu campsite I noticed all the bad comments here... I personally find unbelievable the fact that this pristine, remote and relaxing Beach and campsite is not well understood. The site is natural and remote, so the staff must bring everything for everyone on a daly 1h trip to the nearest supermarket including 30min by 4x4 on a dirt road, that explain the adapted pricing witch is still made pretty cheap in my opinion... considering they have to get rid of the waste too, and they do it beautifully implementing recycling... Here you can feel respect for the surrounding nature witch is the must see and main attraction here... people who want super speed wifi , energy consuming aircon in every tent, concrete on footpath, bleached beach full of people near a supermarket will not feel at ease here! Simple... Natures lovers, Books readers, people who want to connect with life, explore true nature(witch include algaes on the beach sometimes, cows roaming free , and some mosquitoes ), experiment this super friendly atmosphere in a paradise place with their family, friends or even alone will FALL in LOVE with the U Paradisu camp site guaranteed !! Thank you for my kids who didn't touch their phones for weeks and had no complains about it as they where having so much fun which their new friends here, thank you for allowing us to reconnect as a family... See you soon!

So, where to begin. Firstly, the site is near the Saleeca beach, which you can access without needing to camp at the site. It’s worth a trip if you fancy a few hours off-roading as it’s pretty inaccessible. You can get a boat to the beach, but at 30 euros each way, you might as well buy your own boat. The site: absolutely disgusting sink and toilet blocks, with water restrictions in place without warning. The showers are dirty and inefficient, lukewarm if you’re lucky. The food: you can eat at the restaurant, more of a bar than a restaurant feel. However, it’s exceptionally expensive: 18 euros for a burger and chips! The ‘food van’ outside the site never opens on time and sells overpriced panini and sandwiches. There is also a small shop, that sells everything marked up, it’s exploitative. On the Saturday there was a disco, which played music until the early hours as an incredibly loud volume - I’m actually writing this review as it’s still playing. We have been in our tent 2 hours trying to sleep... There are mosquitoes, there are scrounging local dogs that roam free. The site do not take card payments, which in the 21st century is more of a moral standing than an economical one. There is no need to restrict to cash only. The staff are friendly and helpful. I do not recommend this place to anyone and I wish we’d gone to a proper site.

This camp is only accessible via a very bumpy offroad track and you should take that in consideration. The camp itself is very nice, many places in the shades, a restaurant - which is a bit strange as you have to order one day in advance ( even pizza) Bathroom facilities are very basic but clean. And the best - a lovely beach is in waking distance!! One of my favourite camps and beaches in Corsica!

As with most campsites in Corsica and France, there is no way to book dates and reserve, and U Paradis U is no different. You have to call the site 4 days in advance to see what the availability is like. Firstly, everyone reading this needs to understand that the access to this campsite is not easy. Highly recommended a big 4x4, forget caravans or RVs, and if you have a trailer make sure it is built for off road or expedition. The 7km track through the Agriate desert is brutal. Very rocky, loose surface, tight switchbacks and steep in some places. However it is well used by people heading to the amazing beach which is was drove us to stay at U Paradis U. The campsite is basic in the fact that there is no electric hook up, water hook up or any sort of pitch facilities. Most pitches are on uneven ground and the one thing you will notice is the level of dust which will cover everything and anything you have. We arrived in the afternoon after traversing the desert dust path road and were told to pitch up anywhere. That "anywhere" was the only spot available by the swamp near the septic tank right outside the toilet block. We tolerated this due as we were there for the beach not the campsite. The campsite is run off a generator which seemed to run most of the day and night and can be heard across the site. Water for showers is not available between 12pm and 6pm due to water limitations across the site (supplied by a well). The beach is within 500m and is an easy walk, but gets busy during the day unless you get to the beach before the 4x4 taxis arrive with the day visitors. All in all, do not expect five star or even a one star facility. You go here to wild camp and get access to the beach, and to meet like minded people. The site needs some investment to really attract a higher paying clientele however the access road does a good job of keeping out the hoards which would ruin the beach experience. Definitely the best beach in Corsica, but go there for the day by the 4x4 taxi or your own 4x4, pass on the campsite unless you are really prepared to wild camp and with no guarantee to get any sort of decent pitch. Small shop on site, restaurant (expensive all round).

We spent 3 nights at this campsite which is located in really amazing place, near to the most beautiful beach in Corsica. We had 4x4 car so our ride to campsite was really great and we were surprised how cars that are not 4x4 managed this road. It is absolutely advantage because thanks to this not many people get there (like on others popular campsites). Place is amazing and worth staying there, people are friendly and cool. Although the bathrooms/toilets are so-so (looks like at the end of the world) and need total makeover. We dont recommend dinners organized there - too expensive and not worth money, besides this, other things like wine, ready meals in small shop are good. It is also worth going along the beach (towards east) to another bar hidden in the forest, nice ambiance and very good food!

After some strokes of not that much good luck we finally reached our first destination on Corsica - Camping u Paradisu. The idea was, that we go there with our offroader but due to the fact, that it had broken down, we changed it for our VW Passat 4M. Which represented a painful 1,5 hour drive from main road from Saint Florent to Calvi to the camp site. Road is not in good condition, it has been destroyed from many waters, on the way we had to maneuver over deep ditches, bigger rocks, ex river beds. Everything ends with a speed limit sign 30 km/h - which is probably there for a joke. Any vehicle with good ground clearance is recommended. If you have lust for off-roading, than you should bring an 4WD SUV or even bigger "classic" off roader and take him for a spin in Corsican Desert. We finished the road with our Passat, but it took its dept. The campsite itself is not bad maintained you can hire a cabin there. There is no special rule where you are allowed and where not to put your tent. It is more or less everything let to your imagination. Bring some resources to make some serious shade. There is also a restaurant and a shop with really basic food (milk, water and pasta and some other basic stuffs). If you have special demands, I suggest to fill up trunk before you go there. The restaurant provides a very good food, they also organize more or less every evening the dinner with three rounds. Toilets could be better. Hot water is available when it is not needed - that is during the daylight, when is outside already hot. At the morning and evening water has more or less air temperature. Some hygenic and finishing touches on wash basins and sinks for washing dishes could really improve the whole experience. There is also no electricity in camp, so if you have needs for that bring either the solar panels with or extra battery. But all above that is paid off when you go to the beach - from camp to beach side is a short walk under 10 minutes and once you see the amazing beach, you simply forget all above that. There is a soft sand, warm water not that deep so children can play in it and if you go a little deeper to take a serious swim. Bring cash with you, there is no possibility to pay with card. Prices for food in shop are a little bit wined up :)

We arrived having walked for from Ostriconi. Having made a reservation we were looking forward to a comfortable night and a meal. There was no record of our reservation. Even though my wife had spoken to the owner to confirm it. The site was not due to open for 2 weeks. The restaurant was in a state of chaos, the kitchen full of dust- so no meal. One of the men working there eventually found us a room with v. limited bedding for which we feel we were overcharged. We managed to buy some groceries from the 'shop' for which we were also overcharged, 8€ for a can of beer! The nearby beach is superb but I would not recommend the campsite at all.

We were staying there for the second year now, the party of four. We like the location and a bit of off-road experience on the road to camp. The staff in camp is very nice, the parcels also. The only disadvantage are the toilets, which are a bit unsanatary. The price is also extremely low. We loved it and we will definetelly return in the future.

little off-roading to get there # nearby beach is fantastic # camping site is nicely ventilated # appliances need maintenance, looks like management sleeps back on old days profit # staff is not trained at all, help yourself policy apply # restaurant is fine, but toilets and showers are a disaster, burnt bulbs and very little space for the closet (easy to poop on your own feet) # if you intend to dine, book it as soon as you get there 'cause nobody will inform you about little seats availability
