Its very difficult to rate this Hotel. The staff are friendly, and they do their best to keep the place clean and tidy. The food is not spectacular, but it is very cheap. You could say good value for money, but its not a place to go if your looking for something special. Its good for family outings, but not...

We had a weekend away in Dorset and know the standards of OEIs so visited this one in the evening. Staff say they had been busy so we should "grab a table whilst we can". We were given menus and told they hadn't got a lot of food, but didn't say what. We sat down and a young girl took...

Work booked this hotel for me however, it wouldn't be my first choice if I was to book this myself. Rooms was very clean however, it was a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment. Only stayed for one night which was very pleasant, staff are friendly and helpful. Only negative point was my meal in the restaurant although,...

Chose this pub as easy to reach and the parking. Overall, considering it was an Easter Sunday and they were very busy, the service, food and price were very good. Only a couple of drawbacks - the waitresses were rather sullen and disinterested. One in particular could not, or would not raise a smile , and we were right to...

One poor young barmaid serving at the bar and waiting on tables. 2 what resembled "managers" swanning about but as much uses as an ashtray on a motorbike, my gut instinct was that the food wasn't going to be good and i wasn't wrong... I decided not to go for the steak (just a feeling i had) and went for...

The rooms were away from the main road so very quiet, with ample parking. Dinner was superb, as was the breakfast included in the room at £60. I can say the staff bent over backwards to help you and would defiantly return in the future. Minus 1 star as the bathrooms and windows could do with a refurb.

A quick bite stop turned out to not be so quick. On the positive side, when we got them, the 2 sandwiches were fine - reasonable bread, contents hot, well presented. Wasn't prepared for the waitress with an obvious skin condition which would be better covered on her arms, scratching her hair & ears as she wandered around. Or the...

We booked this hotel for an easter stay whilst in Dorset. Feel the hotel is quite tired and could do with a freshen up, although Rooms are spacious and clean. Check in was quite slow and disorganized! Would advise to book in advance for evening meal as restaurant is really busy. Staff are clearly over worked and understaffed. Hotel is...

I'm not sure exactly what some of the bad reviewers expected from this hotel at their prices, but it's never going to be The Ritz! I have had the pleasure of staying here over the past 3 weeks & can easily say I would definitely recommend staying here. The staff are friendly and cheerful, the food in the pub is...

Probably one of the worst lunches we have had out. Ordered the beef and ale pie advertised with Tom Kerridge's name ! It arrived and the crust was over cooked , inside the cook had also managed to burn some of the meat too. My wife's burger was similarly over done and there a suspicious hair on the plate as...
