I've never refused to eat a meal until now. We both ordered a roast, one beef, one chicken. After waiting over half an hour, they arrived. Beef - chewy, gristly, over-cooked; chicken-tasteless, greasy; roast potatoes - 2 halves on a plop of mash; veg - yellow broccoli, cauliflower cheese tastes of processed cheese sauce; Yorkshire pud - the bits that... We stopped here on our way to Weymouth for one night. Once we managed to get someone to meet us at reception we were shown to a very nice room, well appointed and welcoming. We found the food very nice, the bar was good and the staff seem to try hard. Breakfast was good but the staff need a hurry... More

We used to live in the area and married at this hotel. So when we returned we decided to stay here for 'old times sake'. The beds were comfy, the shower worked well and the French doors to the garden were a lovely feature. Sadly it all ended there. One curtain was hanging off the rail, much of the grouting... More

Wow.... Where do I start No one at reception to meet their customers ( had to wait 10 mins) and pressed the button as advertised. Then went to our room and it felt like I went back to the 70s. The room needs a really good clean air vents , taps, table etc etc No net curtains maybe hotel needs... More

Party consisted of 4 adults, 1 child, 1 infant and 7 wet dogs. All were made welcome and although we were late (2.45) Sunday lunch was available. There was no carvery which we might have liked having enjoyed one there in the past. However all the food was very good and the children were well catered for. All young staff... More

Stayed six nights at the St Leonards Hotel over all it was good. The room was on the ground floor as we had requested very large bed and good furnishings, French windows to the lawn outside. The only small niggle was that on 2 days the hospitality tray was not refreshed and I had to go and ask for fresh... More

Easy to find, plenty of parking and a play area for those with lchildren. Nice friendly welcome when we arrived. Followed by a good quick service, very polite. The meal was excellent, the best lamb shank I have ever had. Looking forward to returning soon. A nice outside area ready for when the weather obliges. Thank you 'The team'.

We had a lovely Sunday roast with our two young children here. Atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. Although the beef had ran out by 5pm we still had a lovely dinner of the 4 bird roast. Children's dinners come with a drink and for £4.29 are great value for money. Would definitely go back here for the simple fact... More

Dropped by here with friends on way to an event nearby for coffee. We were served by a long haired male who gave the impression he would rather not be there. The coffee when it came was lukewarm at best, and had a horrible taste to it. We didn't finish our coffees and left. Whilst on the onward journey discovered... More
