Both my partner and I had the Parmo dish. We were greatly looking forward to it but that soon changed when they came. The Pamos we're soggy. The white sauce was nowhere to be found and my partner found a very thick piece of plastic stuck in his. The "chicken" was just all gristly and all stringy. A massive disappointment.... More

Walked down from the high moors and so glad we did. Upon walking in, we knew we had found a special spot. The pub was cozy and inviting, the service delightful, and the food was delicious. I wish we had the time to return for a second meal since there were several other things that looked amazing.

Another visit in July to our favorite getaway. Saturday night so was busy and had to wait a little while for our main meal, but it was very busy so we expected a wait and did eat a little later. Anyway it was worth the wait as the food was again great. Stated over as usual and the rooms are... More

The Feversham Arms is everything walkers could wish for. It has stunning views, perfect peace and a great location for walks to the surrounding Dales and Moors. Add to that open fires, flagstone floors an outside eating space with dale views and proper hearty food and good beer at good prices. After a hard days walking you'll get a filling... More

A lovely pub tucked away in Farndale, always a friendly welcome and good food. A lovely beer garden with great views. Highly recommended if you are about in this part of the North York Moors. Popular with walkers and cyclists. The daffodil walk is very popular in Spring and leads you here from Low Mill car park

My wife and I recently stayed in Church Houses, the pub was my 'routine' stopping point whilst walking our Lab'. The pub is dog friendly and serves proper Yorkshire portions of food, the menu is typical 'Pub Grub' and plenty of it. The landlady and her partner were both very welcoming we had a good few chats over the week.... More

My husband and I ate here several times whilst staying close by on a weeks holiday in the North York Moors. Rachel, the landlady, is so welcoming and made us feel like locals. It is warm and cosy and the food is great. Portions are huge and great value. The hot shot dish is a speciality and delicious. It is... More

The landlady here is friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door making for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. Great 'pub grub', beware of the portion sizes - you really need to be hungry! The beer is well kept too if you're an ale connoisseur. There are beautiful views to the rear of the pub and the... More

“Do you permit dogs in your bar”, was our enquiry. “Yes we do.” Came the reply with a very pleasant smile from Rachel the Landlady. It is so encouraging to know a pub welcomes dogs and not just accepts them. As I was ordering the drinks some of the visitors and locals had a quick shuffle to accommodate us. That... More
