We stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. The lodge was very cosy (chiff chaff) and the offer of unlimited logs (£10) for the fire was great. The hot tub is lovely and great to relax in and here the birds singing around you. The star gazing from here was impressive too. The owners dog was adorable (Leah)...

Weekend in Alder lodge. Beautiful lodge, larger than appears in photos. Spotless and appears brand new. Stunning views from room. Need an hour or so with fire on to fully heat when cold but was toasty from then on if you keep the fire going. Netflix wasn't working on our visit but didn't bother us as busy on hot tub...

This was our first time to Tranquil Otter and we had such a l wonderful holiday, we would definetly recommend and will be back. We stayed in Fieldfare lodge which has the lake right on its door step with beautiful views, perfect for bird watching. The lodge was very cosy with our own log burner and there was nothing more...

We are not newcomers to "lodge or cabin " rentals but Alder Lodge is simply the cleanest and best equipped we have ever had the pleasure to stay in. If you want to relax and unwind then this is the place . It is slightly isolated but therein lies its charm. There is plenty to do in the area if...

We visited for a two night mid week break and have booked to return for my wife's birthday in March we loved it so much. We had a fantastic welcome and as we had our baby daughter with us Tazeen (the owner) had taken extra care to make the lodge safe for a crawling baby. We loved the real Xmas...

We have not long returned from a week at the tranquil otter for our honeymoon and it was certainly tranquil. We stayed in the chiff chaff lodge which was fully equipped with everything that we needed. We had a lovely welcome and having tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival was a thoughtful gesture. The lodge was so warm, cosy...

Love this place. secluded yet near to loads of attractions. I wish I owned a lodge like this, everything you need is there, tempted to just lounge around and do nothing. Lovely to interact with the nature-the ducks came onto our decking morning and night. We hired the disabled adapted lodge for one disabled person and 2 carers and were...

We have just returned from a very relaxing weekend stay. It was a very cosy lodge with a luxurious view. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hot tub was perfect. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Stayed for 4 nights in the Gadwall lodge and couldn't of asked for anymore. Perfect for relaxing, unwinding and forgetting about every day life. One of the best places I have ever stayed and will definitely go back. Would recommend to everyone.

Stayed in Alder lodge for a four night stay. It is the newest of the lodges and when we walked in, we felt like we were its first guests. It is equipped with high quality fixtures and fittings, plus every utensil you will ever need. On top of that. It was immaculately clean. Once we'd mastered the log burner and...
