We stayed here with our two dogs and 9 month old baby. It was comfortable, clean and cozy. The hosts were kind and so helpful. We honestly had the best time and our baby miraculous slept 12 hours through the night. It was a peaceful stay and we loved the wood-burning stove and bbq. Highly recommend visiting. They had some games for playing, the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils, the bathroom robes and slippers were such a nice touch and the beds were so comfy.
Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful cabin, very clean with all that is needed. Our host Paul was very nice, he is very generous with his time and is ready to help for anything. Even to come and get you when you are stuck in a stranded area!!!!! I recommend this place. We will be back!!!! Thanks again Paul!
We really enjoyed our stay at Logden Lodge. It exceeded our expectations.Everything was as advertised on the website but even better. The perfect spot for our family and a great base for skiing at Kootenay Pass and Whitewater
We loved our stay at Logden Lodge! Our cabin was perfect, and had everything we needed. The wood stove made it very cozy, and beds were comfy. A perfect place to unwind in the beautiful Kootenays. A short drive to Whitewater ski resort and historic Nelson as well as Ainsworth Hot Springs. We also loved the African theme of our cabin. Paul and Annelies are wonderful hosts.
We absolutely LOVE Logden lodge. It offers all the amenities of a 5 star hotel while still being incredibly rugged and enabling one to connect with nature and disconnect from concrete jungle. The cabins are well designed and accommodated our family so well. The trails on the property are great, include some great view points, waterfalls and beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend this place to all!
It can be hard to find a nice, affordable place to stay that is pet-friendly. We were so happy to be able to bring our 2 doggos to stay here. The lodges have some touches that make this place feel a bit more luxurious than the typical lodge. Would definitely recommend this place to friends. Highlights - well stocked kitchen, nice trails to walk dogs on the property, close to fun mountain biking and Nelson for tasty food.
If you would like to get away from the hustle and bustle and get back to enjoying the simple things in life like being able to listen to a stream and be able to see the stars without light pollution, this is the place for you. There are still enough creature comforts such as a full kitchen and a giant tub / shower, but there is something truly cozy and relaxing about being able to use a wood stove to generate heating and ambience. The beds are comfy and the hosts, Paul and Annelies are incredibly friendly and helpful. We will be back to in Winter to explore some of the finest backcountry skiing in North America. Whitewater ski resort is also just 20min down the road.
My wife and I just spent 3 days in the Gold Cup cabin at the Logden Lodge which is located in the forest between Salmo and Nelson. There are 4 separate “cabins” which are very large and and beautifully crafted and decorated from the travels of Annalise and Paul. If you are looking for a place to rewind and get in touch with nature Logden Lodge can’t be beat. One caveat: there are lots of stairs. They were no problem for our 73 year old bodies or our 18 month pup (dogs are welcome in 3 of the 4 cabins) but might be for some.
The setting in the forest at Logden Lodge is beautiful and relaxing! Our family had a perfect time there. The hosts were very accommodating and even set up a forest walk with a guide named Keith that was superb and very insightful. Couldn't go wrong booking here, close to town if need be, lovely cabin! Cheryl and Keith
I was so surprised to find this gem on a road I have driven many times. It is tucked away and an amazing find. I live in the area but staying at Logden Lodge felt just as relaxing if we were a million miles away. I really enjoyed the theme of our cabin. The African artifacts the owners collected from their worldly travels add a richness to the experience that is totally unique to them. The grounds were well kept and well lit. There was even a trail on site where we could stretch our legs and get a really good view. I will be recommending this spot to anyone who comes to visit from out of town and professional collaborators who might want to embark on a little staycation to get the creative juices going!
