Hotel's Favorite

Not sure where to start.
Location is amazing, water and seashores are beautiful. Resort is clean and well kept. Our favorite part was not the hotel, nor the food nor the water, but the staff.
You can google and see photos of the hotel, the beach and google maps gives you the views of all the surrounding area.
The resort was ranked #3 in the top 100 resorts in the world and the beach was #1 in the world. But the way the staff interacts and their attention to detail, that, you need to experience firsthand and cannot see it in any google photos.
It is true that when you work in such industry, the expectations form the staff are high and have to maintain a level of professionalism but what we witnessed was above and beyond.
For example: A father and his son were playing on the beach with a beach ball that is bit light, so the wind would toss the ball in different directions. Tuneero, the one responsible for the beach area, noticed that and he gave them a heavier ball that is more stable to use.

the hotel is only 76 rooms which makes things more personal and less commercialized. Staff pays attention to details and always engages with the clients and are genuinely nice. Anguillans on the island are nice and happy people but at this resort they seem to be even happier.

Managers are never too busy and never rushed when talking to us. They took their time and stopped whatever they were doing to chat with us. Managers were working as hard as their staff and never did i see a staff member get nervous around the managers. On the contrary, they were laughing and talking among each other while serving others. That shows how well they are, not only trained, but also enjoy their managers presence.

We were first time visitors of this hotel and travel extensively around the world. The staff made us feel like we are regulars.

special thanks to: Stacey, Tuneero, Kenny, Yennifer, Charles and Jeanelle.

Upon deciding to go to Anguilla, i chose to take my daughter and her best friend to Zemi Beach House. The first thing to say is that Zemi is on Anguilla’s Shoal Bay East beach which is not where the majority of Anguilla’ s hotels (4 Seasons..Malliouhana etc.) are. We found this to be a huge positive. The water was amazing, the beach was great for nice strolls and best of all, we essentially felt like we had the beach to ourselves-that is of course except for Zemi’s amazing beach staff which essentially met our needs(chair set up.water.fruit.drinks/food) before we even had to ask for a thing.

Two things I always believe make resort great are:
1) it’s not that large, yet it offers just about everything a much larger resort does.
2) it can be full to capacity and yet there is no sense of being crowded whatsoever.

Zemi accomplishes both. Beach, multiple pools, tennis, gym and one of the best spas i have ever been to are just part of the options for a guest to take part in. We also never felt like we had to wait for a thing. Getting seated at dinner, actual service at dinner, help from guest services all happened without hassle or wait.

As to food, we experienced 3 of Zemi’s dining options. 20 Knots, a beachfront restaurant with a impressive menu focused on local offerings (best fish tacos I’ve ever had). Stone, a more formal steak and seafood restaurant where I had a filet steak to rival any in New York City. Lastly we enjoyed fresh sushi at The Bohio Bar and Lounge while listening to some live jazz music being played.

Lastly, a quick comment on Zemi’s actual rooms. Our room was filled with modern amenities yet retained local charm. It was spacious, the staff provided great service, and the ocean view was spectacular.

If you are planning a trip to Anguilla, I strongly recommend you stay at Zemi Beach House. To repeat what I believe to be the strongest compliment you can give a resort. While it is not a large-hundreds of rooms-establishment, it offers everything a much larger resort does, and it does so on the most beautiful island in The Caribbean.

My husband and I spent Christmas to New Years Day at this beautiful resort. We've done quite a bit of traveling in the Caribbean, but Zemi is the most luxurious resort we've ever found. Our first impression was WOW and it only got better as the week unfolded. Almost every staff member greeted us by name and went out of their way to ensure that we wanted for nothing during our week long stay. Because we traveled during a pandemic, every staff member was wearing a mask, so our safety was never in question. They also made Covid testing available onsite and it was quick and painless. That was so convenient! We ate meals at all the restaurants and could find no fault in any of them. Breakfast every day on the beach was a delight and if you're looking for quality ingredients and perfectly cooked eggs, you'll love breakfast at Zemi. Our favorite meal was at Stone where we dined on the most tender steak and lobster we've ever experienced. I can't go without mentioning the calamari. Oh my gawd. It was so tender and so perfectly crisped. I'll never eat calamari in the states again! We also did a rum tasting with Princess at the Rhum Room and I would have never expected that rums could have such flavor variation. She was so informed and educated us about how to best experience rums and directed us to those that suited our flavor palettes. Our room was well maintained and we loved the luxurious linens. The view was stunning and the sleep restless and deep. Each day the beach attendants were seemingly always aware of our needs and met them beyond our expectations. It was never a race to reserve a bed near the pool or a set of loungers on the beach. Everything was taken care of with just a word. The beach in front of the resort stretches for about a mile and is nearly empty most of the time. We felt like we had the whole world to ourselves! The sand was so soft it reminded us of baby powder. I spent a lovely couple of hours at their spa and treated myself to a facial. It was heavenly. I was so relaxed and treated with such gentle care. I never expected such luxurious treatment and the facility is breath-takingly beautiful. Anguilla is a lovely little island, but Zemi absolutely blew us away. It's perfection. Don't hesitate to spend your time there. You won't regret a single day. I can't wait to return.

We booked a stay at Zemi after learning it was apart of the LXR collection with Hilton, we are loyal Hilton customers and stay around the world with the brand. Similar to another TripAdvisor's member review, we stayed in room 202, which is a ground floor room in the first building located far to the left in the building, the second room on the row.

Check in we were provided with cold towels and two Rum Punch cocktails, I inquired about the upgrade to a suite or best room available which is offered to Hilton Diamond members, I checked the room availability and there was plenty of ocean view rooms and suites available to book, the front desk told me there was no upgrades available without explanation or reason.

The room was nice and clean and had all the amenities you would expect from a LXR resort. However upon further inspection, I did notice the some wear and tear that shouldn't be seen in such a new resort and one that is charging the prices they are. In the bathroom the light fixture was just recently replaced and gave off a bright sterile white led light, there was a large gap in the installation which I noticed a few bugs come out of the wall. The bathroom also only had one sink.

The pool area consists of an adult pool or quiet pool and a larger common pool located right on the water next to the restaurant and sushi/bar area in the front of the resort. The common pool is tiled with mosaic tile, a few of them are lifting off and we're on the bottom of the floor of the pool. I also noticed in the photos of the water features there was a fire that would light up at night, this is either broken or no longer being used.

The resort has several light features either not working or with different colored LED lights, the up keep of the resort is not at the standard you would expect for an LXR resort.

The management seemed nonexistent, the employees however seemed to care and enjoyed there job. I personally would visit Anguilla again, we loved the island and the calmness of the people and scenery, however we would stay at the New Auora opening this fall or the Four Seasons.

Dear Kesarava, As you can appreciate, our leadership team places great value in guest feedback as it allows us an opportunity to understand what guests most enjoyed and how the experience can be elevated even further. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us in this review. We are very grateful for our Hilton Diamond members and take every opportunity we can to show them our consideration for their preferences with perks, upgrades, and other benefits. We certainly strive to prioritize all upgrade requests for HHonors members and all other guests of the hotel based on availability and eligibility. Unfortunately, we did not have any availability at the time of your check-in to accommodate the requested upgrade as the ability to book a suite on our website does not necessarily equate to availability for upgrades. Further, we are committed to delivering luxury experiences that are synonymous with the LXR brand, and therefore we remain confused with your additional commentary regarding multi-colored LED lights. We know how critical it is to exceed our guest’s expectations and we work very hard in trying to do just that. Our management and staff are dedicated to providing a meaningful and seamless stay for all of our guests. Each detail you shared has been communicated and discussed in depth with our team. That we were unable to turn your experience around during your stay is an added disappointment for us. Once again, I am sincerely sorry that we have failed to meet your expectations and can only hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back and deliver a true Zemi Beach House experience for which we are oft-complimented. Best, Paulo Paias, General Manager

We went to Zemi Beach House for a week for our belated honeymoon & just got back last weekend. It was EVERYTHING we wanted and more!! 10/10. Hands down the best trip we’ve ever taken! The resort is absolutely beautiful, CLEAN, manicured, up to date with everything you could think or need. What even topped the resort itself was the staff at Zemi… they felt like family. Everyone you pass, greets you with a smile and hello! They’re so welcoming and friendly, unlike any other island i have been to. They truly go above and beyond for you or any request you may have. From Renee, Natalie, Princess, and all the others with dining to Kenny, Michael & Tinero at the pool to Jeanelle and Kinelle at guest services, we truly loved spending our time with you guys. You all went above and beyond. We have stayed at many five star resorts and normally something isn’t up to par. Not here. I’m SUPER picky and notice everything. Not once did anything go wrong. We were so shocked by how well managed the resort is, how amazing the staff are, how clean & amazing house keeping was! Multiple times a day we’re coming in while we were gone just to put water in the room, empty the trash, fold the toilet paper over. Everything is meticulously managed and taken care of and it shows! The beach is pristine and soo clean. Not one piece of trash. The spa is top notch. We did the ocean bliss for two and was amazing! The spa is absolutely tranquil & beautiful. The food is great at the two restaurants on site. They’re pricey but worth it. My husband liked the food at the resort better than anywhere we ate out. The head chef is amazing and so friendly. If you can splurge, go! Don’t wait, just go! A vacation you won’t regret and will be planning your next one before you leave! We rented a car bc taxis are very expensive and are so glad we did! We went around the whole island, went to different resorts (and none of them compared.), ate at local restaurants, did excursions. Not once did we get haggled for money or felt unsafe. Everyone on the island is just as friendly as Zemi staff. We even saw staff working at other jobs while out driving around and were so shocked they recognized Us and greeted us! We def recommend eating at Blanchard’s & Sharkeys (make reservations)! Go snorkeling at little bay and pay the $15 for the boat ride with Calvin. Born & raised local who is soo nice! Make sure to go horseback riding on the beach with Seaside Stables. Thank you Zemi for a vacay of a lifetime! We will see you again, soon!

I have been remiss in not writing sooner about the excellent experience my family had while staying at Zemi. We stayed here once in 2019 and twice in 2021.

Let me start with the staff. They take customer service to the next level. Every person made us feel very welcome and cared for. This is even prior to our arrival in Anguilla. Guest services helped with all the paperwork to get to Anguilla, arranging the round trip shared sea shuttle, on site Covid testing, printing boarding passes, etc. On each visit we were met at the Blowing Point ferry terminal on our arrival in Anguilla by the Zemi rep who took our welcome drink order. And, we were checked in seamlessly by Annie and upgraded to ocean front rooms the first and last time that we visited. The stress of our departure city just melted away once we got to the property. And, that is just the beginning.

Once you get to breakfast at 20 knots which overlooks the stunning beach with tons of snorkeling opportunities, you are just at peace. The wait staff, Lilian, Delma, Stacey, Renee, and Alicia are all very attentive and brought us our morning coffee, orange juice, etc. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of hot and cold options. We ate breakfast with our toes in the sand every morning. Then it was off to get ready to spend the day on the beach swimming and snorkeling. We would walk along the beach towards the Manoah Hotel and check out other restaurants like Olas, Tropical Sunset, and Madeariman’s. Dinner at 20 knots was also very good with excellent service.

The beach attendants were friendly and we had great conversations with them. Javier, Kenny, Mike, and Tuneero took very good care of us with towels, cold bottled water, fresh fruit skewers, snorkeling gear, etc. When we decided to visit Meads Bay and Crocus bay, the front desk prepared towels and bottled water for us in Zemi burlap bags for our trips.

The property is just spectacular with the serene pools, the two restaurants, the rum bar, sushi bar, the beautiful landscaping. We had a very spacious room with lots of closet space, soaking tub, separate shower, etc. It is quiet and refined. Housekeeping did a great job to keep our room clean and left us cookies and water each evening.

The Caribbean BBQ Buffet on Wed night is not to be missed with the great selection of hot food (various meats and seafood) and dessert. The grilled lobster was to die for! And, the live music was entertaining and even some of the wait staff showed off their vocal abilities. We met Paulo, GM, and other managers at the cocktail hour held on Thursday evenings.

We have been totally spoilt by our experiences at Zemi. Hope to visit again soon!

Cannot say enough about this property. Always a breeze because of the trade winds.
The sound of the ocean breakers on top of the shoals. Beautiful turquoise water with darker shades of coral in between. Well-kept beach. Hardly any seaweed washed up on shore the west end resorts of the island have.
The food is outstanding. We couldn't get over how well the lady pastry chef did with her desserts!
Tropical landscaping is by far and away the best on the island. The 2 pools are amazing. My wife and I stayed in room 213. A corner ocean view room in building 2 Nice accommodations overall but with one complaint. They advertise that they use fine linens, but it's the bed that does not measure up to 5 Star rating. The problem is the bed is what most all hotels use and that is a box spring and topper combo. The cushion topper is only 3 inches and integrates as one piece with the springs. It's like a military barrack style cushion in which your body weight bottoms out onto the actual springs. The cushion has no firmness. By the end of our week stay my lower back was really sore. I suggested that they should use natural latex foam (not Memory Foam which is awful) It comes in 3-inch layers and a choice of firm, medium and soft. To accommodate most people 2 layers of firm and the top 3-inch of medium. Very supportive and comfortable.
I hope they correct this because we very much would like to return

I’m still dreaming about our fabulous vacation at Zemi Beach House! When I close my eyes I can still picture the sparkling turquoise water and hear the gentle rustle of the palm trees swaying in the breeze. I am taken back to our room, with the most spectacular views of the beach and the incredible hospitality shown to us through daily housekeeping and turn down service (with delicious cookies), and where all you had to do was ask for something and it would appear - delivered with a smile. One stop at guest services with Annie and Janelle, and you would have your day (or week) planned with every detail accounted for. Reservations for meals or recommendations for adventures, they would take care of it all! Each morning we were greeted by name, and Tichelle and Stefanie knew that we preferred the tables with our feet in the sand; and that I needed my coffee and my husband his orange juice. Breakfast included the most amazing buffet of fruits, fresh baked pastries, local favorites, smoothies, and made to order eggs and omelets. Whitney would just smile at me by the third day or so because she knew I always ordered 2 eggs over easy with no butter. She would have them practically started before I walked over. Charles would come say hi and check on us every morning, and every morning our response would be that everything was perfect! Then Michael, Karol, or Kelly would greet us and let us know that our beach chairs were ready for us, and that they’d bring us our ice and waters as soon as they saw us come back down. We never wanted for anything while at the beach, the pool, or anywhere on property. We would head up to the room to change and see Deslyn on our way, and everyday she made sure that not one leaf or speck of sand marred her pristine property. Most days our longest walk was from the beach to the pool, where we would be the last to leave after watching the amazing sunsets. For dinner we loved the fact that we could order from any of their 3 menus in any of the 3 locations. We could have sushi at the Bohio Lounge, visit Raggne or Princess in the Rhum Room, return to Twenty Knots for dinner where Emmanuel would walk me through each offering to be sure I didn’t accidentally have any dairy, or we could choose Stone for a slightly more formal dinner, with Sven and Renee taking care of us. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Zemi. We may have shown up as strangers, but we left feeling like part of the Zemi family. These people make the magic happen everyday, with genuine smiles and hospitality, and I will never forget them. I started trying to book our next trip to Zemi before we even left Zemi. I am so excited that just yesterday I was able to book our return trip for 2024!
Oh Zemi Beach House… you have most definitely found a special place in my heart! Thank you for giving me the vacation I never even dreamed I could have!!!

Transport to Hotel

Utilize the guest service team to coordinate and schedule your travel to and from the hotel
We arrived air via St Maarten and "private" shared boat shuttle to Anguilla was seamless and easy $85 per person for boat and $35 cab ride to hotel from Blowing point. Hotel reps met you at every point and immigration to and from St Maarten and Anguilla were easy

Travel on Island

Rent a car.... Hotel guest service team contacted rental company and arranged drop and pick up on hotel property. No need for for a jeep. We had the Toyota corolla and it handled any of the sandy / coral roads that were off the beaten path.

Hotel Comments

Bottled water a plenty in pool areas and replenished daily in the room
Complimentary sun screen at the pools
Buffet breakfast is wonderful and we used as a daily brunch with a 10:30 am close
Snorkel gear complimentary and we utilized on our other beach excursions
We did not eat on the property other than Breakfast so we can not comment on the dining options or experience
Staff was great, Pool , beach attendants, House Keeping, guest Service, 40 Knot breakfast team

Places to visit

The Shoal Bay beach is one of the best on the island. For a stroll on the beach and looking for that beach shack experience, Olas was the bomb. The best beachy cocktails and coldest beer on the island in our opinion. Yolandi at the bar was the best

Cant go wrong with any beach on the island. For a little adventure, go to little bay beach. Go early before the tour boats arrive and hike to the bottom of the cliff with the rope. Bring your snorkel gear from the hotel Need to be a little nimble but cool thing to do

General

Bring some "Tip Money" for the journey... $1, $5, multiples are advantageous

Just returned from Zemi Beach House and had the most relaxing trip I've had in years. The location is perfect and given it is a small Island (20min drive from west tip to east tip) - being the only resort on the East makes it feel even more exclusive. The beach is simply gorgeous and the setting perfect amongst stunning landscape and an abundance of Palm trees. Walk half a mile up the beach and there's several cool little beach bars often with live reggae music and fabulous fresh fish. The resort has every amenity you could ask for and the staff are so attentive and guest-centric that you feel part of the family! Given the rooms are over-sized and beautifully appointed, there is no such thing as a 'bad' room. All have incredible views and with only 70 rooms total, the resort never feels crowded and therefore the personalization of experience makes you feel like royalty. The food and beverage is fabulous and what can be better than eating breakfast with sand in your toes, looking out at the Ocean! Explore the island as there is plenty to see and do and you can discover many great restaurants, bars and beaches. I'd love to mention the staff members all by name but I had so many incredible connections that I don't want to miss someone out! Bravo Zemi!

Depending on the size of the party we advise you to book in advance. For Stone the fine dining restaurant and the Caribbean night on Wednesdays we do require reservations. Looking forward to welcoming you at Zemi.

how much is a taxi from blowing point ferry terminal to the hotel?

I don't know. It is best to rent a car on the island if you plan on exploring. The rental cars are right outside the Ferry Terminal at Blowing Point and are reasonable. We used Junies and they were great.

Daily breakfast is complementary for two, regardless of Hilton status. Incidentally, the breakfast spread still remains very good!

I can only tell you that our ocean view king room was in the middle of the building overlooking the courtyard with the adults only pool, and of course overlooking the ocean. We were not an end unit. There were multiple buildings between us and the ocean though.
