Detailed Reviews
Your staff was excellent, friendly, helpful, and entertaining. The wide soft sand beach and beautiful blue water was enjoyed with plenty of lounge chairs available during the week in January 2020 that we stayed. Check in and out was quick, wi-fi was sufficient and it was about half the price of the Four Seasons & Cap Juluca, and also about $400 a night less than the “up the street” Zemi Beach House. Our room was extremely large with and a bathroom bigger than most places we have stayed. 2 A/C units were quite adequate. I wanted to hit those high points first because I thought they were important to note upfront.
So, why the 3 stars? Your one and only bar was without Chardonnay wine, limes, and Tito’s vodka for several days in a row. I was given different reasons (excuses) daily until the limes eventually returned on a request basis only. Half of the equipment in the gym doesn’t work properly. We were refused a complimentary ride down the street to another resort for lunch. Either improve the complimentary breakfast, or change the name to a snack, or just add $10 to my room rate and include a full breakfast, but it is entirely unacceptable as-is when compared to any other “boutique high end beach resort” where we have ever stayed. Money is never the main concern for us when traveling and we certainly considered all 3 of the places mentioned above. But the photos, beach, room size, etc coupled with the significantly lower nightly rate...it seemed to be a no-brainer. Looking back, I wish you had just charged us more and improved all of the problems I mentioned before, or we should have just stayed up the beach at Zemi. But the Four Seasons in Anguilla will always be considered moving forward because these issues never seem to be a problem at places like that.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but while visiting the beautiful white sand beach, wandered over to see if we could get a bite to eat. You bet we could: We were welcomed by the servers who even offered that we could even take a dip in the pool, use the rest rooms whenever w wanted and enjoy the scenery.
This is truly a high class place

Thank you Manoah, we had a wonderful stay.
Suite was beautifully kept and had beautiful views, exactly what we had hoped.
Grounds were also very well kept - lovely flowers and nicely maintained pool that hardly anyone ever used. (like nobody in 6 days did I see in the pool) We especially liked the spacing of the beach loungers/umbrellas, not too close to your neighbors. Will return!

This year, we decided to do a series of “staycations” during our extended stay in Anguilla. During previous stays, we had eaten in the beachfront restaurant but never stayed in the hotel. Of our five staycations, Manoah was without doubt, best value for dollar. We would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to returning.
Manoah is right on Shoal Bay East, feet in the sand, the rooms are spacious, quiet, and spotless, the pool is large, clean and surrounded by lovely tropical gardens, the lounge chairs are plentiful, the beach towels are thick and fluffy, and the restaurant is blessed with a new chef. The staff was always polite and helpful; the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection.
Life does not get much better; sitting on the top floor of the Liz building enjoying an uninterrupted view of white, silky sand and turquoise water. Manoah is truly a hidden gem located on one of the Caribbean’s best beaches. Sincere thanks to Shanelle, David, Stacey and Shannon for a wonderful stay.

I am on my last day at Manoah and have mixed feelings about my stay. When we arrived I was blown away at the beauty of the hotel and the beach, omg the beach, it's absolute perfection. We had a great welcome and the gentleman who carried our bags up to our room was nothing but helpful and pleasant. The room is spacious, and the balcony and view is spectacular.
Now after staying a few days here is where I start running into issues. We did not receive housecleaning for our first two days as unbeknownst to us you must put a sign on your door to have them clean your room, fair enough, it was afterall our mistake. However when we requested the room be cleaned, I received a little bit of a cold response from the cleaner and when we returned to the room it was definitely tidied but not cleaned, there were footprints still in the bathroom that my wife had to clean and the bed only had a sheet on the bed, there was no bedsheet for the mattress which shocked me a little. If you are a clean freak you won't feel comfortable in this place I can tell you that, my wife is not happy and wishes she had her own cleaning supplies. The bed Is also horrible for persons with any back issues, I was very uncomfortable my entire stay.
The biggest issue we had was the way that some staff, particularly the lady who works the phone at the Ocean Beach Club restaurant treated us. I can understand having a stressful job but the way my wife was treated when calling for room service was completely out of line. She would get yelled at and even hungup on, to the point she didn't want to call anymore. It's just curious why you would treat paying customers like that.
Overall, the hotel is great but they really need to work on their customer service by some of their staff, it doesn't really leave you wanting to come back.

Not sure why the negative reviews. This small resort is AMAZING and on one of the best beaches in the entire Caribbean. It's not the Four Seasons or Cap Juluca with the service, amenities, and highly staff to guest ratio but it's a solid 4-star experience at a fraction of the cost. Rooms and amenities are also exactly as you see on their website (not sure what the review from June is referencing). Best valued resort on Anguilla IMO. Stay in the Liz Building... all of these rooms are truly oceanfront with huge patios, amazing bathrooms, in some cases a living room, and spectacular ocean and beach views.
Only negative we can think of is that it is a drive to get to the west end restaurants. We had a rental car which helped tremendously but ended up staying on the east end most of the trip and only went to the other side a few times to hit Blanchards, Sunset Lounge, Sunshine Shack, etc. Plenty of great restaurants on this side too though ... we ate at the resort's beachfront restaurant, Maderiaman next door, Olas Tacos, Artisian, Falcon Nest, and a couple others. There are plenty of options!
I feel this resort is ideal for those that like to relax on the beach, don't need to be overly pampered, and don't want to spend as much as the high end resorts cost. It has a very laidback, barefoot luxury type vibe well suited for couples or families. All of beach chairs are nicely cushioned and in only one row so all have ocean views. No issues either getting chairs... because it's such a small resort, chairs are always readily available. The beach bar and restaurant is adjacent to the beach and there is always a beach attendant available to bring you drinks and food. The huge pool is also on the backside of the restaurant and only steps away.
Lastly, we found the employees to be extremely friendly and always readily available to help. Shoutout to Mr T, Kenny, Shauna, and the front desk and housekeeping staff!

We stayed 5 nights at Manoah. The hotel sits on beautiful Shoal Bay East. Their pool is large and enjoyable as it overlooks the beach. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only thing that kept this from a 5 rating was AC issues that caused us to have to move rooms. The included continental breakfast is limited ( fruit, toast, croissant, juice) but you can buy additional breakfast items. There are a few beach bars and restaurants on the same beach that you can walk to.

Manoah is a boutique hotel with amazing service. Attention to detail sets this property apart from the other hotels we visited on the island. The two mile long white sand beach is gorgeous! The shady padded beach loungers and thick towels are available to the public for a fee. Calvin makes the best cocktails on Anguilla!

We have been visiting Anguilla for over 30 years and a few years ago began staying at The Manoah. The rooms are so spacious and well appointed. The beach lounges have CUSHIONS!!!! The staff is over the top wonderful. We stay in the LIZ building right on the ocean,,,,, The views are spectacular. The terraces are very large with fans, lounges and dining table with chairs. Two large TVs.
After spending the day on the beach we then spend afternoons at the gorgeous pool.
At least 2 afternoons while we were there they had live music which was great. A fabulous DJ one afternoon and ANDY (great voice) another afternoon. Music was very soothing not too loud!
Also, The cost to stay at THE MANOAH is a great value compared to the larger resorts. Rent a car and go anywhere on the island for lunch or dinner.
I highly recommend The Manoah!

As this was my 2nd time in Anguilla I saw this hotel on my 1st visit in 2019 in Shoal Bay and said the next time I come, I want to stay here.
The hotel itself is beautiful. The property is amazing. What I appreciated most was how peaceful and relaxing the entire area is. Just what I needed for my vacation.
We stayed in the Liz Building. Best decision ever made. The balcony view right on the beach is like paradise.
The room upon arrival was clean, big and spacious. Some negatives were the mattress on the bed. It felt dated as I felt the box springs which caused back pain. There was no price list for the mini bar in the room. They also include continental breakfast BUT they don't tell you it's 13% tax added each day you eat it, you pay at the end of your stay. So it's not completely free. The hotel just needs to be more transparent and give more information. The food at the restaurant is ok. The burgers are outstanding. David the bartender makes great drinks. Ask for his barracuda. It's not on the menu but you will not be disappointed at all.
I have to say, Anguilla is a bit pricey but overall I was not disappointed. I do recommend the Manoah.

Response from Manoah Boutique Hotel ANGUILLA, Guest Services / Front Office at The Manoah Boutique Hotel Anguilla
Responded Dec 8, 2022
Thank you Kimmy, for your review. We always appreciate when guests would leave feedback, so that we know which areas we need to improve upon. We are certainly happy that you had an enjoyable stay, and highly recommend the Manoah. Just to clarify, your comment regarding Continental Breakfast. Please note, continental breakfast is NOT included in your room but is offered complimentary to our guests. We are absolutely certain that GST does not form a part of your bill/guest folio upon check-out. GST is recorded on guest checks merely for purposes of accounting. Regarding the mattress, we are surprised that you've chosen this medium to comment on the same, and not during your stay, so that resolve could have actually been made. We are aware that each individual has different preferences regarding firmness of bedding and we will never be able to please everyone and just for the record, we've had guests stay in the same room with the same bed, before and after you stayed, without complaint. We however, certainly thank you for bringing this to our attention and wish to thank you again for staying with us. We look forward to serving you again in the near future. Shelly D.

The second one is the black bar to the left of the deck. It is generally only used when we are hosting big events such as weddings, parties, reggae shows etc.
Thanks again for your question.
It was wonderful while we were there, it was in May and the water was warm, calm and very clear!
