Stara Papiernia is family run B&B located by Kurtyn river in Warmia and Masuria region of North - East part of Poland. It is beautifully designed, charming house and most of all absolutely dog friendly accommodation! The owners of the place have got husky watching the property, therefore in common area it is needed to keep visitors’ four legs friends on leash at all the time. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous for dogs and their owners. Just in front of the house is Kurtyn river famous for kayaking and canoeing, it is possible to rent one in nearby pub. On the other side is lush forest with many paths to trek and discover hidden lakes. Mokre lake can be found at the end of the forest track. In case of any problems with furry friends such us ticks caught in the forest there is local vet in nearby village and the contact details can be obtained from the B&B owners.

Very beautiful wood building in the middle of Mazury forest. Amazing breakfast made of fresh local vegetables, cheese, ham and sausages. Excellent quality/price ratio. Possibility to play sports and discover the nature in the region

We spent a relaxing weekend in this old paper mill with a direct access to the river and close to the famous horse ranch Ferenstein. The mansion, build mainly with old bricks and wood, was completely renovated and furnished with a mix of modern and antiques furniture. It is simply superb. The Owner Violetta and her family are excellent hosts and even better cooks;) If you plan a weekend with a mix of rest, horse riding, kayaking and culinary adventures, this is The place you have been looking for!

It's incerdeble how much work was put in renovating this 250 years old paper mill. The building was remade from scratch inside but a lot of original things were kept (wood floor, brick walls) which makes a nice mix of old and new. The owner made a great job with furnishing which is also antique and compliments the inside. Rooms are huge and comfortable. Big common rooms on every floor with fireplace on the ground floor. I would also recommend buying breakfast which is prepared from fresh local products by owners mother. There's no better thing that home made pie, jam and pickles. Also one of the best cheeses I've eaten in my life. Actually we've bought a few pieces for ourselves from owners own supplies which was a very nice gesture. Everyone was very helpfull and we had a wonderfull time. The surroundings are very beautiful and peacefull. There's the Krutynia river passing just a few meters from the building. Soothing sounds of a small waterfall and the birds made the stay really regenerating. Overall great price to value ratio.
