This place was just beautiful old hacienda style , rooms were large and comfortable as well as beautifully decorated. Restaurant was nice but most special were the grounds with trails , llamas , and so many beautiful humming birds ! We went on an excursion to see Andean condor -

Dear guest, We are sorry to read about this experience and we think that you are leaving parts out of the story. When you make a reservation you get a confirmation letter from us that states the services that we offer and who we are. We are a 110 years old Hacienda that is registered as one archeological and patrimonial site of Quito. We are a wildlife sanctuary to rest and relax, we dont advertise at any moment a swimming pool. We are a 18 acre private Wildlife Reserve that has over 90 different species of birds, that we take care of them and keep track of the population. We also support 3 different conservation projects with the Jimenita Project, we protect 700 hectares of Primary Forest in the Amazon, we protect and have a reforestation program of 50 hectares in the Pichincha Hills, 50 hectares of preservation in the Antisana-Coca paramo called Caparina. With your stay and with the different services we provide we are able to maintain all this properties. Additionally all of our prices are published in our website and in fact we do not charge you more than what is published. We provide a private service that supports conservation projects, we also just hire local mothers and give them a better pay. We are sorry you find this prices not to be competitive, but we never force you to hire us we just provide you another option. Second like i asked you in our email conversation, depending on the interests that you have we will make a personalize tour that includes everything for you (entree tickets, meal and a souvenir), and depending on your interests, like you where in architecture, your guide will be an actual Architect that is special in the colonial construction and will be your guide. In general we are suprised to read your review, specially after constantly asking you if everything was okay and you replied everything is perfect. And i think you missunderstand the taxi, like we told you, we can not call a taxi the night before because the taxi company tends to forget and we told you about our bad experiences with them in the past, to tell us the next day 15 minutes before the time you wanted to leave. Yes our prices are different from the public transportation, because we provide a private service and we dont get subsidy gasoline, we use large SUVS that dont get tax cut in the vehicle registration. We also would like to point that the price of 60 dollars was the price for 4 persons and you will get two cars and the pirce quoted was the roundtrip to the airport and each couple will get their own car. We thank you for your visit. Best regards, Emilio Cruz

On our 3 week tour birding in Ecuador, we stayed here our first and last nights. On a previous visit we spent those nights in downtown Quito. Once was enough, we saw it, another city, didn’t need to see it again. Our guide suggested this quaint Inn, and we readily agreed. And

How much is your airport transfer? Do we need to pay to use hot water? Saw that in some reviews. thanks.
The airport transfer for my wife and I from the hotel to the airport was about $20. Taxi from airport to hotel was less, but driver had some trouble finding it. If you do taxi, do daytime only. And, no, we did not have to pay for hot water.

We did a late check out....I just can't recall the price but I want to say around $80. I think it was about 60% of the full rate. But regardless....we had an 11pm flight and it was worth every penny to spend the day wandering the gorgeous grounds, have dinner and a shower, and then head to the airport!
