We had an amazing week long stay here. Its €15 in a taxi into Fira or about a 25 minute walk, you wouldn't do the walk at night. They also run a shuttle into Fira 3 times a day. It is a little bit out but so peaceful & quiet towards the other main hotels and you're overlooking the sea with gorgeous views. Really spacious room & bathroom. Your breakfast is cooked to order each morning. The pool area was gorgeous & cleaned each morning. We got fresh towels & water daily with your room cleaned. All of the staff are so friendly & welcoming and can't do enough for you. We also got a massage in the hotel which was amazing. We got engaged while we were there & the guys arranged something for our room, it was so kind. Thank you so much for an amazing week guys :)

Amazing stay, best service, great views and fantastic breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. Great atmosphere and nice to stay somewhere a little further away from the busy city center. The hotel offered a shuttle service from the hotel into fira center. They were helpful with recommendations for yours, restaurants, help with renting ATV during our stay. Nice pool and great breakfast, cannot recommend them enough . Thank you so much ❤️

From the moment we arrived, we sensed Aliter Suites was ‘remote’.... Reception was a small room with a few scattered chairs and tables, outside were more metal tables and chairs (for breakfast seating) with two birds merrily cheeping in their cages, surely pleading for freedom. One of the two young ladies that sit in reception (in turn) furnished us with a island map and room key. Our room was large, sparsely furnished (kettle, fridge) with jaccuzzi and good sized balcony with loungers and two chairs. Bed upstairs in loft (air conditioning downstairs together with bathroom). One bottle of water provided daily as you cannot drink tap water or indeed boil and drink - it tastes like soap! No food available except a pre ordered (night before) breakfast (which is basic but ‘fine’ ...) and no supermarket or cafes nearby. We were offered ‘take-away’ menus - food was ordered and delivered. It was indescribably shocking - largely inedible and effectively €35 for chips. So, our experiences and opinions: * Car essential for Aliter suites; quadbikes everywhere and driving by most, somewhat erratic (!). Park anywhere. * Get to OIA town early as parking difficult (as this is the place with ‘the sunset’ and is so busy!) If you park, plan your exit route as you stand every chance of being blocked in... * FIRA town is not pretty unless you keep walking and yes, it has a McDonald’s !! * Don’t order car via hotel - we (stupidly) ordered car via reception. - On delivery of vehicle, the delivery lady was brash and unfriendly - with rental price increasing with each insurance potential hazard flagged and much encouragement to ‘sign’, the final straw being not covered for under car damage with no assurance damage not already apparent! Decided to dodge the rental and caught the ‘shuttle’ (which in fact only runs a couple of times a day, not frequently) to FIRA. * Order car online via airport and get taxi to collect it (absolutely everything covered by insurance and better prices) - Incredibly good service received (SixT)and more lessons learned going forward! We planned hire to allow us to return to airport and drop car off - save extortionate taxi transfer! Had great time driving around this very small island. * Taxi drivers are mostly sour, don’t speak and inflate prices by sight, basically every day that has a ‘Y’ in it or tourist ... don’t use them (6 min journey, €25 to €55 plus!) * Buses look busy. So, Aliter suites ok if you want remote and no services - blissfully quiet until the noisy guests with a total disregard for others arrive and share their day, loudly, at 2am! Reception ladies do not fill you confidence with their manner or island knowledge - staffing minimal (cook also housekeeping and ring bell for drink at bar ..). Gym equipment safety rating questionable but likely to appear on antiques roadshow! Needless to say, we should have checked ‘Google Earth’, booked car earlier, stayed nearer facilities (town or beach) and sought more creature comforts. Would we stay here again? No.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review for our property! It is very important to write an honest reply to your review since we found it weird as all your real problems were with Santorini in general and not with our property. By defending the Ladies in the reception who have excellent knowledge of the island , their job is to give you advises and help you organize your vacation not to indicate you to any direction. We are running a hotel as a Family business and the delivery companies for food , or car rental , or taxi services has nothing to do with our property since it is not our job. We can only assist you and we always intensively mention to search everything online – on Google to make sure that it will be what it suits you. It is far unfair to blame a hotel property with nice room and helpful staff for the island facilities. But if we offer recommendation after request , we know that all people coming in Aliter are super kind and welcoming. Also, our reception is open 24 hours so for any problems with other “loud” guests you could have called us and we could have requested for silence , but we need to be aware in order to help you. You did mentioned it the next day by talking rudely to the young lady of the next suite making her cry and that’s not how we like to solve problems in our property. You are right to be angry but little fights are not a solution. Regarding our small gym it is very funny that you call it antique since everything in there is brand new except the elliptical machine 😊 By ending this answer with the most important information for anyone to read, the best reason to chose our property is because we are 1,5 km away from Fira offering quite time in the vineyards back side of the island, welcoming and honest help of vacation organization from locals and big parking area so you can use a car to visit all over Santorini and of course huge suites and big pool/pool bar area, reception and breakfast area and a small gym so if needed staying fit on vacations. We are very sorry that we didn’t manage to please you in total but we are very happy that you like our facilities, suite , Jacuzzi and handmade local products breakfast. Best Regards, Electra Stefanidou Hotel Manager

We stayed at the hotel for two nights the worst hotel in Santorini this summer .. not for the landscape because it was wonderful and the pool was nice too , but the bedroom without air conditioning with a rudimentary fun only outside temperature was 32°C with 67% humidity.. The behavior of the receptionist was unacceptable to anyone she was very rude and ironic to both is us . the breakfast disgusting there was no coffee maker because she said it was broken I don't think there is a breakfast without coffee so and so eggs we ordered ,served them with the shells .. I'm ashamed that I am Greek and people come to this hotel and stay for summer holidays in my opinion you have to avoid book in this hotel again . It was lovely area but unprofessional employees .

Dear Guest, We wish to use this platform to respond to the above criticism of our staff. As outlined in our countless positive reviews from past travelers, our staff constantly strives to enhance the customers' experience, we are a united, professional team, that go above and beyond for our customers and we are confident in the service that we provide as can be seen by our prospective travelers, the overwhelming amount of positive reviews attests to this. We are very sorry that your experience of our property was so bad! Our first priority is to please our guests during the full day at the handmade fresh breakfast ,the high quality coffee machine for esspresso coffee, in the suites with the newest design airconditions. As the Manager of the Aliter suites i was only aware that you wanted 2 of your friends to stay in your room, which is against the hotel law in Greece especially during covid. So we know that you didn't like it but we need to respect equally all our guests and the law. Hotel Manager Electra Stefanidou

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to do so for Aliter Suites. The personal, friendly and kind service of the staff made us feel so special that they really do deserve a shout out. The desk is staffed 24 hours a day and the service never falters. When you arrive nothing is too much trouble, drinks are offered and any information you might need. It is only 15 minutes from the airport. Every evening they take your personalised breakfast order and you can arrange lifts and pick their brains about anything you like. The backroom staff are equally helpful and hard working: the place is spotless, rooms are deep cleaned daily, the pool is just like the photographs and everyone smiles when you walk past. It never seemed crowded or busy even though it was full when we were there in late June. The east side of the island has the black sandy beaches, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel: the beach café is quite chi-chi and the loungers cost but it isn't extortionate and it is pretty quiet. The west side of the island is the cliff side overlooking the caldera. Views are breath taking. We walked into Fira the capital every evening, it took about 25 minutes uphill but we could have had a free shuttle bus from the hotel if we had wanted it. We then walked home downhill at the end of the evening. Some parts of Santorini can be heaving with tourists and some are more traditional and peaceful. My daughter and I had the most wonderful balanced stay and would thoroughly recommend Aliter suites to anyone.

The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from the airport and is out the way of the hustle and bustle. The place is immaculate and the cleaners made sure our room was spotless every day. The rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely the nicest people who knew everything about the island and organised everything for us, even down to ordering our take out for lunch! The hotel is never far from anything and you can drive from one side of the island to the other within an hour. The outside pool is so peaceful with comfy chairs/loungers/hammocks and beanbags dotted around. The breakfast is also amazing with everything made fresh for you in the morning with loads of choice. We made friends with all the staff as it was a family run hotel so it was easy to see them every day and they genuinely made our experience so special. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We had the most amazing 4 nights at this hotel and were so sad to leave! The staff were incredible from arrival, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Apologies I can’t remember everyone’s names but Poppy, Zee and all the staff were just incredible. So friendly, accommodating and truly couldn’t so enough for you. Our room was very clean, spacious and the beds were comfy too. The bathroom was nice and modern, rainfall shower was lovely. Robes and slippers were a nice touch as well as all toiletries being provided. Towels were big and fluffy and so were the pool towels. Our terrace area was huge and the jacuzzi was great to have there along with sun beds. Breakfast was included and made to order each day. You can choose what you like the night before and change it as you like. Everything from omelette to fruit, yoghurts, coffee, juices - all fabulous and cooked freshly for you. No other food was available for lunch as the hotel has just reopened but they had a great local takeaway that delivered lovely gyros to us for lunch (they take card and reception can help you place the order). Th bar offers a lot of drinks options and they served us by the pool most days (it was quiet so we just nipped down to reception when we needed anything and someone came up to us. The water was free, a large bottle in the room each day and by the pool too. We thought that was a nice touch as most places really rip you off for it. Other drinks as well were well priced like Pimms cocktails at 9€ (fira town start from about 14!) There is a free shuttle 3 times a day to get to fira which was really handy. You can get a taxi but it’s 10-15€ which is a bit mad for a 5 min drive. You could walk it but it’s not a great walk and may take 20-30 mins. Nowhere to walk to from the hotel really but that’s what we loved about it as it’s more remote which offers better privacy than the hotels in the towns. All staff worked so hard, they’re up early cleaning around the pool and making sure the walkways are swept too. The only notes for improvement we have is that more hooks would be useful to dry towels and a rack outside too. Also we booked a room for 3 which was shown as a double bed and double sofa bed but this was actually single sofa bed. Otherwise we really loved the place and would absolutely come back. For the service etc it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed in the world.

We have just returned from a 3 island holiday in the cyclades. Our 1st resort was this one. This is a really lovely place. The suites are large, comfortable, and brand new. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The pool is infinity with a great view of the sea and the complimentary breakfast is delicious. There is a morning (11am) and evening (6pm) free shuttle up into Thira with free returns if you want them. Otherwise a taxi is €10 one way. There is pebble beach down a very steep quite dangerous (no pavement) hill. Would stay here again definitely and more preferable to us to be out of the bustle of Thira. Small cons: The mini bar is overpriced You are totally isolated. There are no shops, bars, or restaurants within walking distance - but the free shuttle is great! There is no food cooked after breakfast but staff will order you a selection of takeaways. Thira is stunning. Santorini views are well photographed but don't do them justice. It's breathtaking. Be aware It is quite easy to get ripped off in Thira. Don't be rushed into restaurants (there are plenty) without researching or having a look to see if locals are eating there. We found a great backstreet taverna (Nicolas) - the 'sunset' one's are overpriced and you are paying for the view/sunset not the food quality (the sunsets are unreal though!!!) Loved Aliter suites

The staff was AMAZING! We stayed there for 3 nights. During this period we got engaged and the lady in the reception was so kind and helpful she even arranged for as a location and roses for the proposal with no charge! The breakfasts menu was diverse and you didn't have to take it yourself, they served us the meals we asked for the day before. The room was always clean, the pool is big and has an amazing view! The day after the proposal, a chocolate box was left on our bed with a congratulations card. Totally recommended, I'll definitely be back again Thank you (or "efcharisto" in Greece) for everything :)
