I visited (and reviewed) Hayhoull this time last year. It's still wonderful! I had a different room, this time I experienced the twin room upstairs which was just as lovely as the downstairs double I had last time. The breakfasts are wonderful, the welcome warm, and the location spectacular. I went down to the beach to swim before breakfast. Recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at hayhoull. If you're looking for a real, personal B&B experience, Hayhoull is a fine address for that, without any guesthouse-y-ness. Hayhoull is located in Bigton near St Ninian's Isle (the one with the tombolo) and ideally placed for walks or short drives in the southern part of Mainland. Lerwick isn't that far by car,... More

Has a fabulous six day stay here. Mary gave us a warm welcom and really looked after us. A very good location to stay with great views. St Ninian's Island five minutes walk away with great beach. I cannot reccomend it enough.

My wife and I stayed at this remarkable B&B for 9 days. The welcome was great and with the magnificent views from the dining/sitting and the comfortable bedroom we were sure that we were in for an enjoyable stay. Mary, mine host, who will stop at nothing to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. Breakfast, with an extensive choice,... More

We spent 4 nights here. Mary is the ideal host and provides a property with genuinely stunning views over St Ninian's Isle. Our bedroom was fine; the lounge - with its large sea-view windows, comfy chairs, TV, games, music and a vast library including local guides and maps - was excellent. The breakfast is everything you could want, freshly cooked... More

This B&B has fantastic views of St Ninian's Ilse, a pretty island connected to the mainland by a gorgeous sandy beach. Mary, running the B&B, asked if I wanted to join in helping at a party in the village hall, where everyone was really friendly. It was a treat to be included in Shetlanders' warmth and hospitality. Excellent food, comfy... More

Beautiful location and amazing views. Rooms very comfy and guest lounge too. Good base for the mainland as easy to get around. Modern with under floor heating. Yummy breakfast. Try the food at the Scalloway Hotel.

Mary offers a fantastic welcome at Hayhoull. We stayed three nights, and two nights she cooked us a lovely dinner. Breakfast each day was "full British", just great for weightwatchers! The rooms were spotless, supremely comfortable, and the guest lounge huge and comfortable, with tele, library of books, table stacked with tourist leaflets. Mary can usually supply a glass of... We stayed for 1 night. Outstanding place to stay, clean and comfortable rooms with great view on St Ninian and Foula Isle. Ideal place to stay for visiting the South part of Mainland. Really enjoyed our night there!

A warm friendly welcome, lovely setting, stunning views, spotlessly clean, cozy room with comfortable bed, good shower and very quiet. Mary could only fit us in for one night but I would have loved to stay longer. A good base to explore Shetland. Mary gave us a very good breakfast and was lovely company for a chat. So good to...
