Great hotel and the hotel staff were excellent and accommodating in every regard! The restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast had everything imaginable to start your day! Thank you again for a great stay and I’ll be back,
This was one of the most relaxing holidays ever! A dream come true, warm thermal water amidst the most captivatingly beautiful surroundings, snow-capped mountains and old buildings taking you back hundreds of years! I couldn't ask for more! And the luxury of lounging about in towelling robes and having nothing to do except soak in the beauty and the warmth around you. We stayed for four nights and it was a great break. We had dinner every day at the restaurant Antica Osteria Belvedere because we wanted to stay in the infinity pool till late. It was a pleasant surprise - there was enough to choose from for four nights and it was very good especially for the price. Breakfast is excellent and a lovely way to start the day. Comfy in swimsuit and robe, a vast choice of items, then straight to the outdoor pool! We were booked on half board basis, so with breakfast and dinner. We then decided to have lunch too, and it was lovely! So out of the water, again in towelling robe, to lunch! All the food on offer, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, was very tasty and very fresh. Pastries, cakes and focaccias were pleasantly light, pastas excellent! Also one of the best foie gras terrines I've had. The hotel itself is spic and span, extremely clean. Bed linen white and crisp, lovely white towels, thoughtful provision of towels to dry hair separately. Great toiletries bag of QC TERME products, very good quality indeed. The bathroom heater was marvellous at drying our swimsuit quickly to be used again soon, same day. The heating in the hotel is truly efficient - you come out of the warm thermal water, instantly freeze, put on robe and rush into the hotel building - heavenly! So the robe can be worn at all times, including breakfast and lunch, but not to dinner, understandably, as it is the time to change and enjoy a nice meal with a good bottle of wine. We used most the outdoor pool as we loved the panorama - I constantly dream of going again. But we also enjoyed the ancient indoor Roman baths, the outdoor archduchess tub and the indoor 'cascata', which is a forceful hot waterfall that makes your back and shoulders feel so good! There are other features such as a sauna too. As for me, I used to spend an entire morning in the outdoor pool, then after lunch and a nap, back into the outdoor pool to watch the scenery change at sunset and then when the night takes over - pure bliss in the warm water. It tends to get busier on weekends, with people who come for the thermal baths for the day, but we always managed to do what we wanted, somehow guests spread out over the place. Staff are excellent. Suffice to say that on Saturday morning we wanted to go to Bormio historic centre because it's enchanting, we had gone before. However no taxis were available because it was a busy weekend. The manager, Signor Alberto, took us himself in his own car! He didn't want payment and even gave us his mobile number in case we wouldn't find a taxi back! We were astounded at this gesture. For information, we landed at Bergamo and took a prebooked taxi straight from airport to hotel, three hours, but it went very smoothly. It was a marvellous experience and we honestly look forward to do it again, can't wait!!…
IT is a unique thermal location in Italy and I suppose one of the best in Europe .Astonishing view of the Alps expecially when there is snow. Surrounded by wild animals. Rooms perfectly maintained and serviced. This idilliac location is ruined after 10.00 a.m. by a daily crowd of visitors having access to the spa and to the restaurant.. The quality of the food is similar to a factory canteen of medium level.
From the moment of making the reservation I knew I had made the right choice with this Hotel. It’s not cheap, but you are treated like a Prince and have access to a unique sanctuary of peace and tranquility, visited by famous people over many centuries. Avoid the busy seasons and you’ll have a great time relaxing and enjoying the service the staff provides that is 5 star. Special thanks to Jessica! Mountains full of snow and fabulous views from the infinity pool, as well as the remarkable grotte inside, make this a magical place. Deserves a visit!
My hotel in Bormio couldn't book by phone. There without prebooking, reception told to wait for one hour. They never answer and after asking second time they said fully booked. Not sure if they knew how many people inside their own pool. Bad service.
The thermal spa was so overcrowded it was impossible to relax, felt like a cattle mart. Not very clean - many of the spa rooms smell of mould and have hair floating in the water. I noticed an unsmoked cigarette and a used bandaid in the St Martin's cave!! The rooms are small and overpriced. Breakfast very basic. The bar closed at 6:15pm on Christmas Eve so it was impossible to have a drink after a day battling for space in the spa before going for dinner.
We could not have had a better time - this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Our room was pretty and comfortable, with a spectacular view over the valley. The breakfast was terrific. The staff were marvelous: helpful, kind and endlessly accommodating. They opened the cafe for us in the afternoon so that we could celebrate a birthday with cake. The spa is simply amazing. There are many different pools, each delightful in their own way, plus saunas, rooms to hang around in, places to warm up with tea, and so on. You put on your bathrobe in the morning and wander around in it all day, even if you take the shuttle to the bagni nuovi (even more baths!). It was very relaxing and huge amount of fun - our family loved it. Would come back every year if we could.
This hotel is situated on natural thermal pools, which were once used by the Ancient Romans. In fact, there are two original Ancient Roman baths, which guests are able to use. Upon our arrival, just before 7 p.m., the hotel manager suggested we visit the baths, as we had one hour until they would close for the evening. My husband and I both thought we'd wait until the next day but at the last minute decided to do it, and we were so happy we did. We made our way out to the infinity pool, where we discovered a delightful experience. The warm water and hydro-jets, coupled with the cooler evening air and the incredible views of the Alps and valley below, were the perfect ingredients for relaxation after a long day traveling by car from Cinque Terre. That evening we ate at the hotel, where I enjoyed a local wine, paired with the local, traditional buckwheat pasta prepared with cheese, potato, and cabbage. The next day my husband and I walked around in our bathing suits and robes, exploring the various offerings of the spa. There were numerous saunas, at various temperatures, using differing aromatherapies; several private thermal baths; a cave where the warm waters and dark rock walls made us feel like we stepped back in time; and ice baths to stimulate and energize after the heat. It was, quite literally, a spa playground. The only thing we did not take advantage of were the massage services - we were already sufficiently relaxed and in no way needed massages! My one complaint was that too many people arrived with day passes, which created a bit of a crowd. However, we still had sufficient privacy, given the many options and places to utilize. If you are looking for a special getaway weekend or a place to hide for a few days, this is it. It will make you feel like royalty from another century. Remember that Alpine establishments do not usually have air conditioning, so be prepared to sleep warmly in summertime until the night temperatures drop. Once this happens, it is glorious. This hotel is also close to Stelvio Pass, which is worth seeing. I also recommend going into the town of Bormio, where you can tour the Braulio facility and enjoy some local dining. It is a beautiful village, especially if you like to walk around and enjoy local scenery. I recommend crossing the river for a meal at La Rasiga, where you will enjoy incredible local dishes.…
The therme is simply amazing. This place is very special not only the setting but water itself. My friend and I totally rejuvenated in 2 days. I highly recommend this place for a total relaxation and enjoy tasty maintain-region Italian cuisine.
A top place with amazing views, a top quality spa and great food plus a lovely hotel with fancy rooms. It is both a romantic place for couples and a relaxing spot for people looking for peace and quiet far from the city hectic life. To be visited more and more!
