We visited for an afternoon snack and found the food and service superb. The views from the hotel grounds are outstanding. The hotel was used by the Nazis during the war and there is a bunker in the hotel grounds. The hotel is very close...More
Stayed here in early September after our hike to Trolltunga. It was about 2 hr drove here from our hike. It was a perfect distance to drive after our hike on our way going north for more hikes. This hotel is pretty old and has...More
My wife and I stayed a night here during our road trip through western Norway and we really loved the view of the mountains and valley. The hotel itself and the restaurant food was, however, just average. We ate at other places in Norway with...More
The hotel staff was friendly and the view from the lounge and rooms facing the valley were unbeatable. The hotel provides a map of the two common hike in the area and breakfast. Dinner can either be an entree ordered or a buffet.

Some of the local buses will make a regular stop at the hotel door. Send an email to the hotel - they might be able to help you and tell you the time of the day - yet even better: check the skyss.no website for the bus schedule or nor-way.no. If the bus does not stop at the hotel door at the desired time of the day, you can get off at StalheimKryss on E16 (your bus driver will know the stop) and the hotel staff will pick you up with your luggage (just email them ahead of time). If you have minimal luggage, you can make the walk to the hotel from Stalheimkryss in about 20 minutes on a paved road (beautiful scenery).
