This lodge is well designed and run with beautiful large rooms nicely decorated. If you feel cold, there is a fire place. From the bathroom we had a view of Kilimanjaro in the morning. Comfortable and huge bed. The main building containing restaurant, bar and library is cosy.

Stayed here with family on vacation in October 2017. The lodge is located right outside the Momella Gate (I think) and offers spectacular views of Mt Meru. We stayed for a night and our guide took us on a safari drive thru Arusha Natl Park where we saw several Colobus Monkeys

Dear Sir/ Madam, Thank you for your kind praise for our lodge. I´m very sorry for you negative showering experience, though you´re right about the unfinished repairs. It´s a bit more difficult to get spare parts in the bush and we have not been able to get that missing glass for some time but are reminding the supplier daily. I hope you had a better stay in Serengeti than a lot of our guests who find it too overcrowded, sometime haveing up to thirty cars around one tree with a leopard finishing his meal. I personally find the rather unknown Arusha National Park as an ideal spot for a vacation, if you´re interested in nature, wildlife and peace & quiet. Sure we can´t offer you lions or cheetahs here but you might visit our Shumata camp in West Kilimanjaro next time, where you will be able to see all the animals to your hearts desire, without the amounting mass tourism. Kind Regards Tilman Mai

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice staff, cool management and we really liked the food. Worse to visit! You are able to see some animals like e.g. giraffes or monkeys. We stayed for two days, breakfast and dinner - excellent.
