Manoir de Bellauney is more like a little castle, surrounded by a lush garden filled wit many trees, plants and beautiful flowers. We chose the cheapest room, the 'Chambre Normande', since we were only going to stay for one night. And yet it was amazing, and had everything we needed. There is a clean bathroom (with a special little window that goes all the way through the thick wall of the Manoir), and a separate toilet. We very much enjoyed our breakfast, with a variety of French cheeses and pastries. The breakfast room itself was beautifully decorated with all kinds of antique ornaments. The lady of the house was charming, and also the resident dog was very friendly. This place is not expensive, so definitely worth visiting! More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A stately home set in the heart of the Cotentin amidst hundred year old trees and rolling pastures but just 3 hours from Paris. The main tourist attractions of the peninsula are nearby as well as the famous Landing Beaches of the second World War. This Norman manor house has been in the same family for more than a hundred years and was built between the 15th and 16th centuries on the site of the ruins of a monastery, destroyed by Edward the Third's troups in 1346. Each bedroom in this charming house portrays a different period-medieval, Louis 15th and 19th century Normandy. ... more   less
