Detailed Reviews
The hotel is attractive and consists of separate blocks set in a villa complex. There was a fine view of the town and sea from the balcony. The complex is in an isolated position between two villages, so it is difficult without a car. However, a reasonable taxi service is available. The apartment was large with a nice balcony and a separate bedroom. There was a cooker, a fridge and a washing machine, though the cooking utensils were a bit sparse. The bathroom fittings were ok, but rather worn. The furniture was simple but ok. Sheets and bed covering were quite narrow, not enough to tuck in (OK in the summer). Towels were OK. The cleaners came in every other day and were friendly and helpful. One of them gave me a cloth to wipe the kitchen surface when I asked.
There was some difficulty with the water in the bathroom one day, but a man came within minutes to sort it out.
The reception staff are all male and not trained in the school of American hyper enthusiasm. The man who works in the morning, an older man, appears unfriendly at first sight, but it is just that he doesn't know that English speakers expect a gushing reception. When you talk to him, he is friendly and helpful. We had a good chat about English TV comedies, which he likes, paradoxically! He wasn't too bothered when I told him there was no paper in the men's toilet in reception; he said the cleaning staff had gone home. I had exactly the same response from a woman in a posh art gallery in Nice; they just don't see it as their job to keep an eye on the toilets.
On the day we left, I gave in the keys at 12 o'clock and sat in the reception area until 5pm with no problem. The older man had a few good chats with me and I ordered a nice sandwich form the restaurant. It has a very minimal menu and I was the only customer that lunchtime, but I had a good chat with the man running it.
He provided a tasty double decker cheese sandwich and some good chips freshly fried, all for 5 Euros.
On the whole, I liked the place and got on well with all the staff. The important thing is to speak to them and explain your needs. It is not a luxury hotel, but in this age of energy conservation I do not approve of the waste that goes on in such institutions, where customers expect everything to be brand new all the time.
It is of course, a location that is difficult for a person without a car.
I would recommend the managers of the hotel: 1. to train the staff in Anglo standards of customer care; 2. to check the number of kitchen utensils regularly and be more generous with the bedding; 3. to repair worn out fittings in the bathroom more regularly.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. We had an apartment-like room, we had everything we need there, you could literally live there! The view from the balcony is amazing!
The cons: no WiFi in the room (maybe rooms close to reception have it, but we didn’t), it is quite away from the downtown (you should have a car or use taxi - about 10-15€ each time, walking by foot would be too tiring, especially for the kids and the elderly), but otherwise it was all good.
They have an open and a closed pool (both are free), sauna, and I guess if we didn’t come in winter they would offer more activities. We came in a quite season and saw almost no people, it was very quite and peaceful😊
Would recommend 👍

Arrived at reception with no friendly welcome. Room was okay but there was always this damp mould smell in the toilets and inside the wardrobe. The bathroom ceiling was full of mould and the room itself was not very clean. Found so much dust and hairs on beds. As for the breakfast, it is terrible!! Everything always cold and no good selection. It seems like the photos posted on various travel websites have been all photoshopped and it looks NOTHING like it in real life so for those who are considering to come here I would say with a resounding NO! it's a waste of money. The lounge area very outdated, decors do not match but as for the coffee machine it's dirty and looks like it's from the 1980's. The shop is not stocked given that it is a "mini market". The gym was very dirty and messy. It seems like this hotel is very poorly maintained and i woudnt recommend anyone to come stay here. The area is quite deserted with no wifi except for public area such as the lounge area. Despite the modern name that it has there is nothing modern or trendy about this hotel and i would stay far away and book elsewhere. On paper it sound s like a great option but after staying for 4nights I'll give it a 2 star and I'm being nice about this.

The lounge area are very organized and well ventilated with free wifi. The Front desk officer Mr. Ace introduced and accompanied us in their accomodation room, he was so kind to all their clients and politely intoduced us every areas in the hotel especially their dining area were they served a very delicious foods and drinks.
It's so relaxing to stay here.I will treasure our staycation in Coral beach resort Sharjah hopefully we will come back here soon.Thank you so much.

So after reading the reviews for Club St George, I was worried and didn't expect a good experience
We booked a 2 room apartment and I can honestly say I am impressed with it considering we only paid £350 for the week for 4 of us, yes the apartment is a little worn, but for £12.50 per person per night I thought it was great value, both rooms have ensuite, kitchen has Bosch appliances (self catering)
We reported an issue with the air con and that was fixed the same day, we asked for extra towels and where given them with out a fuss and the cleaner notice an issue with the loo and that was fix within the hour
Staff are friendly and happy to help and even printed our boarding passes out for our flight home with out .
Yes currently only have one pool open and the spa is shut but after speaking to the staff since covid the resort have a large amout of long term let's (year at at time), but hopefully as the world moves on they will be able to return these services
Yes it's remote and up in the hills, but you can get to Coral Bay and Paphos Harbour in 15 mins with a car. Tip if self catering don't buy from lidi's as its the most expensive. Try the Philippos thats in Coral Bay or the Supermarket in the King Ave Mall as they have more of a range and also cheaper in price!
We've had a great week away and a great cost per person

I do not understand how this place is still open. Absolutely disgusting place. Me and my partner came for a nice relaxing weekend. When we arrived the staff were so rude and not attentive at all, he literally told us wait while he finished his game of billiards… Very unprofessional!
Finally after waiting we got to the room which was dirty and absolutely freezing cold, we switched both AC to heater and they didn’t work. We went to have a hot shower and the water wasn’t even running. My boyfriend called the reception to tell them and the receptionist said “I’m busy” and hung up. After 5 minutes he called again and the guy came to our room very aggressive towards my boyfriend and said you want to move to another room? Obviously we said yes. He came back and told us there is only a studio available so we checked the room and it had water but still the AC was broken. With no where to go we had to stay in the freezing cold apartment until the next day. We went to get breakfast and the guy told us “we have only four eggs left, and we are giving them to our regular customer. So bad luck For you.”
We went to the reception to tell the manager what happened he was not helpful AT ALL and actually shouted at my boyfriend! No apology or anything. He agreed to refund us for one night. But not the night we stayed there freezing cold with no water.

I hope everyone avoids this place so they don’t have the same experience we had.

The reception is not helpful nor wants to help, when asked where can we eat he had no solution for us as we don’t have a car, simply said 10 minute walk didn’t give us any other instructions. He also said we can’t have WiFi unless we are in the public area but this place is deserted and the company is unpleasant. We had to walk an hour and a half to find somewhere to eat, walking along the road watching out for cars as the “club st George” is no where near anywhere. The bar staff were rude, had drinks advertised but when asked for such drink they told us no. We picked about 3 and all 3 drinks were not available. Cracks in our sink. Buildings are not looked after. Pools are dirty with stains on the floor. I wouldn’t recommend this as a holiday destination anywhere else is better, seriously.

Don't believe what is offered at this complex only thing true is free parking . We booked 1 bedroom apartment. There was no microwave not even a tea towel and bath towels thread bare. All amenities are closed except big pool you can't even get a drink or tea or coffee don't know why it's advertising restaurant, pool bar, indoor pool and spa they are all closed . TV streams 1 channel the news . Unless you hire a car there is no shops or restaurants in walking distance and the shuttle busses advertised are not available.

I'm writing this as I'm here, now.
I read all the reviews AFTER booking. I only saw the few 4 and 3 star ones on the holiday booking website, and at the time it seemed like a less expensive option so we booked.
Reading the reviews after worried me, but actually we've had a nice time.
The hotel is run down. Don't bother going all inclusive as there's not a lot of food/drink options. I only saw people eat at breakfast and the pool bar has a few drinks and a few crisps, more alcoholic ones than anything (and they're generous with the measures). The shop looks like soviet Russia on a bad day (mostly empty shelves).
BUT, the views are amazing and most days we had the large, clean pool to ourselves or almost to ourselves.
Nothing is really in walking distance.
There is a hotel taxi service - its one guy with colourful opinions on all foreigners and their countries. We hired a moped, which was great fun going around the mountains and very easy to get to Paphos and Coral Bay.
The staff are fine once you chat politely to them, but agree it's not american style service or banter.
Our apartment was very clean, the WIFI was better than the UK and we took a Chromecast which worked perfectly on the telly.
There are a couple of little villages nearby (use a taxi, car or moped) where meals are just as nice and cheaper than Paphos.
On first inspection it looks like there's not much for breakfast but when you sit down you're given a menu, with full English and more to choose from.
The eggs were perfect and haloumi on the side a nice touch. It is instant coffee though.
If you can get a cheap deal, it's worth going. Just accept its not like the hotels on the beachfront, more of a base from which to explore than a hotel to spend much time at. In the apartments there are ovens, washing machines, balconies, WIFI, all you need. There is a Cypriot uber for takeaways (woosh or something) which we've used a couple of times.
Our room is quiet at night and we've slept well.
I think we're the only Brits here. Maybe because of the reviews!
Overall, it's a decent base camp and we've met a lot of lovely cats here too.

The studio was clean, the breakfast was appalling, one day they charged us 6.50 each but didn't have any hot food on. The lift only worked one day out of seven even though we told reception every day.

You will need a car
Everything is around 10/15 min drive away
Very easy to get to by car not walk. Head for Coral bay beach and shops and restaurants. Lovely.

Battle, United Kingdom128 contributions47 helpful votesAre towels provided for use at the pool and beach?
No I do not think so
I'd honestly stop somewhere else. Myself and partner has the worst 5 day stay here a few years back. Awful food, dirty and in the middle of nowhere.
